  1. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Jul 9, 2016 -> 03:55 PM) DR is quickly becoming one of my most unliked guys on the team. He's being paid like a very good closer and he's performing like an average one, and now this? How is this his fault?
  2. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Jul 9, 2016 -> 02:22 PM) I feel good about winning SoxMath today. What was answer?
  3. I really like Avila as long as he stopped getting injured by strong gusts of wins (probably won't happen). But he's a more than capable starter.
  4. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 8, 2016 -> 06:59 PM) White Sox -310 tonight That's actually the biggest favorite I've ever seen in a MLB game. I'm sure it's not the actual record, but I bet a lot every night and can't recall one bigger. And, despite losing 1-0, they're odds have increased to win to -340 right now. Vegas really f***ing hates the Braves ha.

  6. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jul 8, 2016 -> 04:45 PM) So this roster is set? Nope. They're going after vet pgs for the MLE. Lawson, Vazquez, Jack, etc. I'd like Vazquez for this team.
  7. Cormier probably will wreck Silva but still that's the best possible fight they could do. It'll be quite a spectacle, good for 200. Silva would have destroyed Bisbing had he actually, you know, tried at all during that fight. Putting the women's fight on last is stupid. Meisha Tate is probably like the 8th biggest draw on the card and Amanda Nunez would be on the fightpass prelims if they ordered it like that. But I see what they're doing. Could very well be Brock's only UFC fight win or lose. Can't have him walking out as headlining winner only to go promote another company. People are buying the ppv anyways so may as well build new stars with all this attention on the product. Guessing Rhonda will be ringside and they'll try and sell a ppv down the line.
  8. It's Anderson Silva indeed. Awesome.
  9. Just saw some video of it, holy macro. I don't know the first thing about guns but that is absolutely the loudest gun I've ever heard. Have to wonder if it's sniper fire, but again, wouldn't know. Don't know what type of gun would be that loud.
  10. TNA viewership up over 25% for the final deletion. And the Internet won't stfu about it. Guess I got to watch it.
  11. Johnson isn't medically cleared that's why you're not seeing his name.
  12. Rumors swirling the fill in for Jones is Silva. That'd be fun...
  13. Dollar store super team is lame for the Bulls since that's not what they're trying to do (yet). It's especially lame for the Sox considering theyve never done anything even remotely like that.
  14. Miguel Gonzalez has a better ERA than Carlos Rodon
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 10:04 PM) 2nd round picks free up the most cap room. How are rookie contracts scaling vs the cap increase? If it's not much, even a 30th pick should be come pretty damn valuable if you could grab even a semblance of a role player for a cheap price, long term control, and basically doesn't count against the cap with how high it's gotten.
  16. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 10:05 PM) Ventura getting "too cute" here trying to get him into a game against his former team when it wasn't really necessary. Doubt it had anything to do with that
  17. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 09:51 PM) i was kidding about making a thread about threads. Haha I just may at this point.
  18. The least 10 posted in game threads.... the Sox are 6-4 Okay now I'm really done with research. Doesn't appear to be much a correlation this year.
  19. The 20 longest game threads this year....the Sox are 11-9. Don't feel like doing more research than that.
  20. QUOTE (StrykerSox @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 08:07 PM) I swear I used to watch Adam Eaton throw and think to myself that he had the arm of a teenage girl. When did that change? He never had a bad arm. There was that myth for some bizarre reason this offseason. I did my best to combat it (I WAS RIGHT!!!). He registered some of the hardest throws all of last year across mlb yet that myth would perpetuat, I think, because he's "grindy". He's also gotten a lot more accurate in RF then CF for whatever reason which has educated the masses on his arm.
