  1. QUOTE (flavum @ May 13, 2016 -> 08:43 PM) Better than Stone. Hawk and Stone have always been bad together. Agreed and I love both on an individual level.
  2. Sox are "only" -150 tonight. Go and bet your mortgage on that. And everything else you own. It's a stone cold lock that the sox win tonight
  3. His bat speed looks slower than the lightning quickness he used to have.
  4. Sportscenter just did a good segment on the Sox success. Kicked it off with a lame Laroche segment but Kurkijan put that to bed. Have to imagine ESPN doing a longer segment on the Sox the same day they kickoff a series vs the Yankees isn't a coincidence, but I'll take it.
  5. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 13, 2016 -> 11:06 AM) I'm not riled up. Nor do I hate him. I grew up listening to the guy. He's not good at his job anymore though. Is he paying you? You found those quotes awful fast like you have them saved them in a folder or something. I mean it was 20 minutes after you posted. It doesn't take nearly that long to use Google. Not sure where you're trying to go with that. Anyways, the point stands. Your bias is blinding you here. This is a non event at best.
  6. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 13, 2016 -> 10:42 AM) LOL What? This is nonsense. I don't hate Hawk. Okay buddy whatever you say. Here's some quotes from you on Hawk. In reference to Hawk being gone: I'll stop there but there's more. Getting riled up over this non-event is lame. Accept you can't help but be biased against Hawk and move on.
  7. Anyone bashing Hawk for leaving the booth to check on Frazier is blinded by their hatred for Hawk well past the point of being reasonable.
  8. I think it's just Webb. His 15 days is up today which is why they wouldn't have been able to announce anything yesterday.
  9. Ill just say I think you guys have some short term memory. Yes, Robin is second guessed but every post was calling for his head by the middle of last year (I know because I made 100s of those posts). There was legitimate traction on this site to trade Sale and blow up the entire organization. Theres still some of those posts yeah but nowhere near the level what it once was. Game threads are always going to be inherently negative.
  10. QUOTE (Tony @ May 12, 2016 -> 04:51 PM) Not according to the game threads. The game threads have been significantly better spirited than in years past. That's probably the single best sign they're winning.
  11. Both guys are capable of being full time catchers in what's already a thin market. Can't imagine that being a target come the trade deadline. And I think our depth will be fine as long as Smith comes back healthy. Sanchez was our 4th string catcher, it's not often you have to go to that. Avila tends to get injured from a strong gust of wind but I think we will be fine.
  12. I don't think Saladino will hit at all long term. For whatever reason I still have hope with Sanchez in that department.
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 12, 2016 -> 08:51 AM) Wouldn't a 1.3 in Chicago still be more households than better ratings in many other cities? I would assume so. Unfortunately the original source of the article only give bottom 5 and top 5 so it's hard to say where the Sox would fit in. KC averaged over a 12 last year. That's impressive. Cubs were at 3.31.
  14. And actually while it's a big jump, that 1.3 rating would have been just 27th out of 29 teams last year (Toronto not evaluated) instead of 29 out of 29. Encouraging to see a jump but we have a long ways to go.
  15. QUOTE (Dunt @ May 12, 2016 -> 08:17 AM) Wait, this can't be true. The Sox have the worst fanbase in sports and no one watches or goes to games. Surely winning doesnt make a difference. Still 27th in attendance
  16. I'm a platinum league starcraft player. I don't really like the 50/50ness of 1v1 games but I don't think it's much of a concern for FPS. Then again I haven't actually played Overwatch yet.
  17. No Shuck for Charlotte tonight with Ishikawa in the OF. Wouldn't be surprised to hear the roster move made tomorrow. That fact that Sands couldn't get in the 8th or 9th today speaks volume about him not having a role on this team.
