Oakland’s proposed trade with the White Sox was on hold on Wednesday as other teams tried to jump in on the action. In the end, though, infielder Brett Lawrie is still likely to go to Chicago in exchange for minor-leaguers. The original reporter said the minor league part still needs to be worked out. Aka 66% of the deal as we know it. Hard to say how close it is then.
