  1. Pretty sure they're all back per earlier thread
  2. Yeah it's weird to say, but there was no reason for him to sign for 1/8 right now since he could get close to that in March if he had no current suitors. 12 makes more sense.
  3. Why build where the only bar already exists? White Sox bar and Grill is fine as is (although they need to consistently stay open). Rest of the outside of the stadium needs the work.
  4. Sosa looked so so bad at the eye test in MLB. Like Romy wasn't good either, but you can see if being a MLBer. Sosa looked like we took a random college player and put him out there.
  5. The 90s ones are so good but still may be the City Connect jersey.
  6. Not sure why the Sox would do that other than money. Anderson seems like a safe bet to return his 4 war self
  7. Seems a very power heavy approach. Also of note seems he worked as an offseason hitting coach while he was a scout with the Dodgers.
  8. So is anyone gonna fill in what happened to wsi? I know it was a slow death but weird to not have the servers running.
  9. For the record, every tidbit I've taken and posted in here has been dated prior to these guys even being on the radar for the Sox.
  10. Probably but it's Perez himself who has given him some credit and of note, he started with Tosar the offseason prior to him hitting 48 home runs out of no where. Good players are good players though. Regardless, seems we're going to embrace a power approach.
  11. Seems like a lot of guys offseason coach (including Yonder Alonso and John Jay!). Specifically he's cited as a big reason for Jorge Soler and Salvy Perez being able to untap their power.
  12. And lol what the hell happened to white sox interactive
  13. I've been really impressed with the manager hiring process and saying the right things in terms of control for Grifol, as well as getting his guys in there. On the surface it seems like a complete 180 from what we know about this franchise but these last couple weeks have been such a small blip on the radar of years of terrible moves so no real trust has been gained anyways.
  14. Udoka in. One of the least surprising/most shocking moves ever there.
  15. Don't know how you can read about him and listen to him and NOT think he's the best candidate on the surface.
  16. Here's a 37 minute interview with Grifol. 17 minute mark he gets into how he would approach being a manager, leadership, and who he takes from etc etc. https://omny.fm/shows/kc-bobcast/kc-bobcast-pedro-grifol?t=17m
  17. Also note there's a good chance Grifol would be the Tigers manager right now if not for La Russa. He was a finalist for the job then the Sox passed on Hinch and the Tigers got him.
  18. Listened to a couple interviews with him and he says he full on embraces the analytic movement. Hard to say for sure though. One thing is he does come off like a bit of a nerd, an avid reader etc, so my guess is his personality does push himself into it.
  19. Really love his background over the other candidates. He was my #1 whole time so I'm happy but I wasn't really all that impressed with the field.
