  1. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 11, 2005 -> 04:53 AM) Because of the exclusive games I own: Mario Kart: DD Zelda: Windwaker Metroid Prime Metroid Prime 2 Animal Crossing Super Smash Bros. Melee Resident Evil Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes F-Zero Ikaruga Eternal Darkness Rogue Squadron 2 Along with getting to play RE4 and Viewtiful Joe almost a year before they made their way to any other system, and having the best character in Soul Calibur 2... Not to mention the top-notch exclusives I don't own, and I am able to play most sports games (minus the ps2-slow load times) since many make their way to all platforms (and there's an adapter to hook up ps2 controllers for those who prefer that set-up). To each his own, but that's why I own a Gamecube. Funny as I was about to type out this same exact response. Some of the greatest games ever created came out for the GC and the GC and Dreamcast are the only 2 systems to have 2 tops ten ranked games of all time. I could easily add ten games to that list, so theres no reason to bash it. And although Animal Crossing kind of does seem girly at first, its actually a pretty cool game. Hell, I don't think I've ever spent more time on a video game than I have on Animal Crossing.
  2. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 11, 2005 -> 12:39 AM) there hasn't been one thing that has made me want a gamecube. i only have a ps2, but my roomate had an xbox and it was pretty cool I could give you plenty.
  3. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 11, 2005 -> 12:20 AM) why in god's anem do you have a gamecube? Why not?
  4. QUOTE(Benchwarmerjim @ Jun 11, 2005 -> 12:18 AM) NOOO Will Madden? Yes.
  5. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 11, 2005 -> 12:09 AM) also, this will be the last generation of EA football on the PS2. should be interesting after that. Actually, EA will probaly still be supporting PS2 after this generation.
  6. QUOTE(Benchwarmerjim @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 11:29 PM) Wow. it looks great. I assume its coming out on all systems? I couldnt find that info in the article It won't be making its way to the GameCube this year.
  7. QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 08:03 PM) Thanks! What did you think of the futuresox one? Like it. Looks good.
  8. The Nats fans seem to like this trade. Drese did indeed win 14 games last year, but I doubt he ever gets it back fort he Nats(Can anyone confirm that he will be a starter? Sunny Kim will get the start tonight and Zach Day is on the DL, not sure when he gets back though). Spivey is a serviceable 2nd baseman and I think this has me a little worried that Vidro will come back later than expected. Guzman has been awful this season, maby move him over there?
  9. QUOTE(robin_ventura_eternal @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 07:32 PM) not much to do with this topic, but im watching the cubs bosox game on mlb.com tv right now, and damn, arroyo is getting his ass kicked, its 7-1 cubs in the 3rd. as much as i hate the cubs, its good to have the team that, should the twins surpass us, we would contend w/ for the wildcard. for the first time in my life i have the urge to say...go cubs?!?? Your are the worst poster at staying on topic in Soxtalk history. And it took less than 50 posts to do so. Back on topic: Navarro, Thriller, Koch, Ritchie, Foulke at the end of his run(Although he still had his fair share of supporters), Wells..... hmm.... theres more.
  10. I also found a major typo in the Sun-times today. It claims we are playing the Cubs this weekend(No, it does not say Red Sox, it is clearly White Sox). What are they paying editors these days?
  11. Sox vs. Dogers is a bigger deal than this, IMO.
  12. Yes, but if anything I suggest you change the backround color. Purple and white really don't go with the light blue look or our silver and black colors. Maby make silver and black the backround?
  13. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 03:45 AM) DJ yes most people love hawk. well that's because hawk=god I think you have mixed up your priorities.... Hawk is greater than God.
  14. Mariners needed to make room for their young stud 2b man, who I assume will be moving to SS and then back to 2b, replacing Boone as soon as they can get rid of him.
  15. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 12:14 AM) W/ all due respect, I totally disagree. There are a couple problems, but there always will be. There were problems over the winter, and some have now become accepted. As someone else said, they just became part of the scene. Just scanning the list of recent joiners, you have Milkman, kyyle, Princess, Balta -- all very good posters, in my experience. (Not limited to those -- I had a couple more in mind, but forgot them after leaving the list.) The problem lies just as much w/ posters, old as well as new, who are impatient and carry grudges from one thread to the next. The 'riffing' after a bad idea does seem to drag on and on. It's easy to blame the problems on newbies, but I don't see that. Jmho. I agree with this statment. I do have some problems with some of the regulars on here and believe that they go out of line more often than enough, but I don't go confronting them every chance I get. I've picked up on 2 certain "regulars" who have seemed to cause their fair share of problems. I simply just avoid the threads they post in like they plague and don't bother debating with them. "Newbies", just stay clear of any potential danger and stay away from personal attacks. I say thats the best way to get along here, it's pretty simple. With that said, I say the Mods/Admins(what ever they call you guys these days) do a pretty good job cleaning up these parts. They'll ban at the 1st sight of a troll and aren't afraid to lock or delete any controversial threads created by the "regulars".
  16. Have never to Wrigley field in my lifetime, despite many chances to go.
