Perhaps. Prior to the game they announced everyone starting with the assistant equipment manager. Seby Zavala, Matt Foster, Brian Goodwin, etc were all announced. I don't know why Keuchel was not then.
Or any roster. He apparently left the team since he wasnt announced as part of the taxi squad last night. I don't see anyone commenting on that though. Guess it got lost in the shuffle.
White Sox reliever Ryan Tepera on the Astros: "They've had a reputation of doing some sketchy stuff over there. We can say it's a little bit of a difference. I think you saw the swings and misses tonight compared to the first two games at Minute Maid."
Love it
TLR with not exactly a ringing endorsement of Rodon going tomorrow but that he's ready and the best he's felt rceently. Potentially gamesmanship. Baker saying he's heard Rodon isn't throwing as hard.
So how does one use the pen tomorrow, assuming Rodon isn't throwing a 27 pitch shutout?
I don't get leaving Goodwin off the roster if this is what we were worried about. He can hit righties better than these two. If we're not concerned about defense in RF, should be him.
Hernandez has a .660 OPS vs righties this year. This is including when he was "good" with Cleveland. He doesn't hit righties. It actually makes sense to play him vs lefties, not righties.
