  1. You sure? I just went back to read the recap of him on the radio and it says he's looking at someone whos very available on Arizona. Except he said not named Finley or Hillenbrand. Whatever, its all just speculation anyways.
  2. Didn't KW say we were in heavy talks with Arizona to bring a player over here thats not named Randy or Steve? My original thought was Bautista, so you might get your wish BamaDoc.
  3. We have a hole at 3b, my ass. Joe is unclutch, my ass.
  4. You should know better than to accuse me of making something up..... http://www.sportsnet.ca/mlb/article.jsp?co...722_161558_5040
  5. A Toronto Radio(confirmed by another website, also) is reporting that the list of teams given permission to talk about a possible Delgado trade are the Dodgers and of course, us. I don't know why the hell we want him but apparantly, we do. The only way I could see us getting him is if we traded Mags, but we'd have to get another big time starter(ala 3 way trade(ATL) or Batista) because Mags is worth much more than Delgado. I don't know, none of this makes sense to me.
  6. One option for catcher is Dan Wilson. The Twins are the only team in talks with the M's right now so getting him could kill 2 birds with one stone. Other than that, I wouldnt like to see much else, other than a couple arms in the pen.
  7. This thing is awesome. Thank you very much for pointing it out.. It works for ESPNINSIDER, very nice indeed.
  8. Your point? If we had Barry Bonds and Albert Pujols, we'd be up a couple games, too. I'm just so tired of that excuse because every team has its flaws and the Bullpen is one third of the game, so thats one huge hole.
  9. What are you talking about? He looks fine to me.
  10. When Thomas is back, who is gonna be out of the lineup?
  11. I think Soxfan is dead on on this one and we've seen more and more teams do this recently with their aging vets. Simply offer him less money for a longer contract. I'd be almost certain he'd accept.
  12. Again, Big Jon was worth nothing just a few weeks ago. Its great that we atleast got something in return for him, especially a proven vet such as Carl.
  13. Im kind of curious about this deal because they have a great middle infield with Greene and Loretta. I guess he'll just be a veteran bat off the bench.
  14. Oh and by the way, for all you CBB diehards in here who cant wait 'til the season starts, i recommend this site: The top 144 teams in 144 days. Its a count down of the best teams until the season starts up.
  15. #9 is not that great for the team we have. We are expected to be anywhere from 1 through 5 for the preseason poll. But its Katz who put us at #9 so I dont take that as anything. My God does ESPN need some new CBB analysist. It doesnt get much worse than Dukie V/Katz/Biased Bilas.
  16. **Looks down**.... Now that we got Carl, MSF, anyway to throw him in there?
  17. The_Critic, predicting the headlines for after the finale of the A's series.
  18. Isn't sarcasm supposed to be in green?
  19. Not sure if this was said or not but Carl is signed passed this year( :puke ). That leaves no interest for me in him. Especially since I think his contract is worth about 7 to 8 million per year.
  20. And some times I wonder how we all survive the offseason...
  21. Threads in the wrong spot..... EDIT: O.K., now its fine.
  22. I'll go with one of their rarest plays you'll ever see, the triple play. It was simply exciting and it kind of came from no where. All the plays everyone has mentioned so far has had some importance to it. I guess this one didn't, seeing how we lost the game.
  23. Found this interesting: http://briefing.com/gold/indepth/inplayhourly.htm Not sure if you can view the site or not but I will happily post a picture of the article if someone helps my computer illiterate self post a picture. If you can view the site, its a ways down. I guess its a very professional site but it is a stock site which leaves it questionable.
  24. One time, I got to go into the park super early and me and a couple of friends were the only people in the whole stadium other than players and workers. It was defiantly one of the best expierences that I have ever had. Well, anyway, I was watching them take some BP from the outfield(came close to being knocked out about 10 times) and I spot Thomas and Cal Ripken having a conversation down on the 1st baseline. I went over and called them too me and we had a conversation and they were both very nice and talkative. I then went back to the outfield to meet all the pitchers and asked Kelly Wuncsh for a ball and he said no and started laughing at me. Oh well, it was all very worth it to meet 2 future HOFers at the same time.
