  1. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 09:17 PM) Isn't that exactly what I told you yesterday afternoon? Yep it is!!!!! But I hate to think there is some damn Cub fan getting Sox season tickets and I'm not!!!
  2. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 09:14 PM) They must just not like you. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm beginning to think so ! I've been calling some agent whose mame they gave me Greg Hodges every day and finally called another agent whose name was on soxtalk Stephanie she finally called back and told me not till 11/1 she acknowledged they did my receive my order from Monday ( I still don't understand why I didn't get WS tickets)!!! Think you're right they don't like me - been a Sox fan a long time and finally got my wife to let me go for season tickets - now I can't get the Sox to sell them to me!!!!!
  3. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 03:38 PM) Yea they are. Another idiot Cub fan informed me this morning he's got game 6 & 7 tickets and season seats in 113. I placed an order last Monday hoping to get WS tickets! Finally received a call from one of the ticket agents last night saying the are not processing any ticket orders until Nov. 1!!!!!
  4. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 09:58 PM) you gonna be at the game? I will. Don't tell me you're a Big Blue Fan - forget the tailgate!!!!!!
  5. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 09:58 PM) you gonna be at the game? I will. Absolutely - we have had season tickets for 10 years! Our group tailgates in the West parking lot along the alley by the hot dog stand - look for three or four canopies together about halfway down. I'll be wearing NU stuff but have my Sox ALCS Champs hat on if it arrives. We are right before the Football team parents tailgate. Jerry
  6. QUOTE(chisox72 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 11:38 PM) I wasn't about to buy a full-season just for the world series, as much as I would have liked to. But, I did get permission from my wife today to buy the double play package for next season!!! So, I will be dealing with that tomorrow!!! It was my reward for not paying some scalper an insane amount of money. Save your time - the Sox ticket office isn't taking any season ticket orders until Nov. 1!!!!!!!
  7. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 05:53 PM) like it or not right now the best team in the Big Ten is Penn State. They have the best QB and the best young talent. And right now IMHO OSU isn't in the same class as Texas and USC. I think that Texas will beat USC in the Rose Bowl. You guys are taking this too serious!!! It won't matter when NU puts up 40+ against Michigan this week!!!!!! GO CATS!!!!!!
  8. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 07:06 PM) I got through today and they said they will be calling prospective season ticket holders starting November 1, FWIW. Also you're credit card should not have been charged and will not be until you talk to an agent over the phone. "American League Champion Chicago White Sox"...It took me a second to compose myself after she answered the phone like that... Thanks !!!! I'll quit banging my head against the wall trying to get through!!!
  9. I understand the ticket office was swamped last week but does anyone really work there? I sent in a deposit form last Monday hoping for tickets to the series - still haven't heard from anyone there!!!!! I did receive an e-mail from an agent - Greg Hodges that would get back to me the next day - that was last Tuesday. I have sent e-mails and left voice messages for him and one of the other agents someone else listed daily with no response. I know they were busy but you would think they would have a better response to people willing to lay out money for season tickets. Is their customer service and agent response normally this bad?
  10. QUOTE(J-MAN @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 04:41 PM) Anyone going to the UC Tuesday or Wednesday? Seems like when we have a chance to clinch would be great to be with 15000 other Sox fans and party till dawn. Anyone have any other details - are tickets on a first come basis? Sorry - my mind is muddled with all the joy from last night - mean Wed. or Thursday!!!
  11. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 04:54 PM) I luv the old Billy Blue Demon logo, and I'm currently at DePaul. I'm really hoping the school licenses the old logo because no new merchandise has been made with it in quite a while, and I prefer it much, much more than the current one. It's really wierd - several years ago the then new school president decided the old logo had a satanic link and threatened to do away with the Demon logo - after a lot of negative response they came up with the new logo which I find a lot more demonic - but my son thinks is cool. Whenever I talk with DePaul people hear you can sometimes find the old logo in resale shops around the campus. My t-shirt with the old logo is among my prized possessions.
  12. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 04:42 PM) I wouldn't even pay to see the Bulls or 'Hawks. Awesome avatar - been a while since I saw the original Demon logo!!!! Graduated from DePaul a long time ago - still have a t-shirt with the original logo.
  13. Anyone going to the UC Tuesday or Wednesday? Seems like when we have a chance to clinch would be great to be with 15000 other Sox fans and party till dawn. Anyone have any other details - are tickets on a first come basis?
  14. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 04:30 AM) HAS ANYBODY TAPED THE GAMES? I taped game 1(I think it recorded well enough), but for some reason my dumbass didn't get to the store to by some more videos to record game 2. So if anyone has the games recorded so far...I would loveyoulongtime/pay for the video and shipping to get the game on tape somehow. Don't sweat it! For only $19.99 (even less if you use the magic code the others her provided for a 20% discount) MLB will sell you a World Series DVD!!!!!!
  15. QUOTE(rangercal @ Oct 21, 2005 -> 04:13 PM) Sorry really meant when did RangerCal send in?
  16. QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Oct 21, 2005 -> 04:18 PM) congratulations man..where are your series tickets Excited for you - when did you send in ?
  17. QUOTE(Wealz @ Oct 21, 2005 -> 04:40 PM) Someone in the know on 35th told me yesterday that they have sold so many upper reserve season tix this past week that they might not offer upper reserve season tickets this winter. Also, I've heard from someone not on 35th that LD sections from 113 to 153 are now almost completely filled on season tickets. If all this is true, is it a safe bet that the season ticket base jumps from just over 10,000 to around 18,000, maybe more? What's that mean for the payroll? Boyer on WMVP yesterday indicated the base didn't jump more than several thousand - find that hard to believe - I have been trying to find out about my order since Tuesday!!!!!!
  18. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 21, 2005 -> 04:18 PM) Celebrating on the UC floor wil be a unique story to tell when the Sox win it in 5.. I love your attitude!!!!!!!
  19. QUOTE(Frank the Tank 35 @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 03:49 PM) I got just about the same email. So now I'm gonna be torn between waiting on a call (which I'm assuming I CANNOT miss lest I lose my spot in line) and trying to score some "decently" priced tickets. The agony... As they used to say on the SCORE "Who you crappin" - there are no "decently priced" seats!!!!!! A grand just to sit in the nosebleed section!!! Will use that money for deposit on season tickets and hope for next year!!!!!
  20. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 08:06 PM) Your troll radars are far keener than mine then (but I am dim and easily duped). Isn't that the type of call you expect people will start getting if they don't have enouggh WS tickets to meet demand but still have potential live ones on the line for a 2006 full season package sale? rangercal or WOOD, if/when you get a similar call keep us informed. When my Dad is contacted I'll post the substance of tthe communication here as well. I was one of the dupes who sent in a application last night also - will post what the outcome is when and if I ever hear from them.
  21. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 06:49 PM) If they charge my card without calling or anything I will flip my lid for sure...I am still probably going to purchase season tix for next year but there is no way I'm putting down a 50% deposit....then I get upset As of right now I can deal. I've often stewed in my own feces before After I came down off the ceiling and cooled down I talked with my son and we agreed we will still probably buy season tickets for next year as long as they only require the 10% deposit. I seem to remember when they had the strike saying I would never go to another baseball game again! But let's admit it we're Sox fans eventually we all come back!!!! I am dissappointed in how this was handled - guess it goes back to the old saying - if something sounds too good to be true there's a catch! In the meantime lets root for our SOX IN THE WORLD SERIES. I read another thread about us Sox fans watching the game in a bar somewhere - any suggestions?
  22. QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 01:01 AM) then please show us all the link.....if you see where you are able to make a deposit for season tickets...and that deposit is for 50% of the the total price, please post the link tHE offer ended at 11:00AM
  23. QUOTE(The Critic @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 06:17 AM) Seriously, Jim, If you're coming to town and miss out on tickets, PLEASE let me know what bar you'll be at. I'd really like to meet you and knock back a couple cold ones watching a World Series game!!! It would have to be Sunday, though - I actually have a previous engagement that I can't avoid on Saturday - WOULDN'T YOU f***ING KNOW IT??????? What the heck could be more important than a SOX WORLD SERIES GAME?????
  24. QUOTE(mrzo2733 @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 05:04 AM) No, f*** that. I can be pissed off if I want to. When the people who have been supporting the team and going to the games all year can't go to the f***ing playoff games it sucks. And don't tell me otherwise. Sorry if I had the "audacity" to think I might be able to actually not have to pay a premium for tickets I thought I in a way "deserved." It boggles my mind that someone has the "audacity" to say that I had the "audacity" to think I had a chance of getting tickets. You guys got it all wrong - as someone who has tickets is several sports venues in Chicago you have to realize the only thing they care about is selling out the venue- they don't give a crap who to. All the franchises on both college and professional level care only about selling their tickets - loyalty is not a factor!!!!
  25. QUOTE(rudylaw @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 05:48 PM) It kind of pisses me off that us Sox Fans that go to 10-20 games a year try our tails off to get playoff tickets and can't because some yahoo that has not been to a game in 10 years decides this is a good time to finally go. Couldn't agree with you more! You would think they could track your ticket purchases and allot playoff tickets on some kind of point system ! But alas no one cares about loyalty from their fans. I have partial season tickets for DePaul basketball and got squeezed out of center court tickets because they are now all season ticket holders only. Experiencing somewhat the same thing with Chicago Fire tickets now that they are moving to a new smalller stadium. The bottom line is NO ONE REALLY CARES ABOUT THE FANS WHO BUY TICKETS.
