It’s obvious Getz sold Jerry on taking over and fixing the bad baseball Jerry was seeing under the previous regime by saying he’d improve the defense and IQ. When you combine that with Jerry thinking that Getz was the only one who ever taught the young players how to properly play baseball, you get yourself this boring strategy we’re seeing with regards to personnel moves.

Sale trade, as Braves are a World Series contender and did nothing to add more reliability to their rotation. The only thing I like for them is they held on to AJSS and Waldrep, as I don’t trust Morton, Fried and Sale to stay healthy.
