Couldn’t disagree more. To me, there’s a huge difference between simply being a bad, rebuilding team and being the worst team of all time with a horrendous use of your best trade chips.
Vaughn would be a good fit with the Reds next year. His opposite field power (warning track power) would fit way better there. He would have hit over 30 homers if he played for them.
Sad thing is it was a joke in my mind at first, but the Braves make a ton of sense. Too bad we didn’t get Schwellenbach last year. Love watching him pitch.
I’d be a lot more patient with Getz in charge of this rebuild if he showed any acumen in terms of making quality trades. If he can’t evaluate talent, this team will continue to lose 100 games for the perceivable future.
