  1. Well, Frank has embarrassed the hell out of Ozzie, KW, Thome, and the Sox this series.
  2. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 09:18 PM) It's embarrassing in a way. The ONE player who you didn't want to defeat you, yet, none of our pitchers could retire Thomas when they needed to. Sure would be fitting if this score held up and Thomas' HR decided the game. How do you not try and throw at least one forkball to Frank in that situation?
  3. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 09:16 PM) I surely do miss Rowand hitting .245 in August, and .235 in September. And not showing up in the playoffs. God I wish I still had that on our team. Frank Thomas, the heart and soul of the whitesox. LMAO@You Don't forget bad base running and being a terrible clutch defender.
  4. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 09:16 PM) The past month or so I've wondered what it'd be like having Rowand and Thomas in our lineup. A lot of people said we'd miss Rowand and I was not one of them. I've been proven wrong now. Good grief...the only reason Rowand would help us is that we wouldn't have to play Mackowiak in CF as much. Besides that, I'm happy his overrated ass is gone. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 09:16 PM) Vlad isnt doing enough to put his team in first. Neither is Ryan Howard
  5. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 09:15 PM) There is no single offensive player in the American league more valuable to his team than Frank. Vlad Guerrero
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 09:14 PM) the reasons we arent winning? Aaron Rowand Frank Thomas we let the heart & soul of the team go bye bye... sad very sad... It's scary to me that people believe this. The reason we aren't winning is that we had a ton of guys have career years last season, especially from our starting pitchers.
  7. QUOTE(SinkingShip06 @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 09:13 PM) Can we finally put a fork in this season? Can we finally turn the page and go back to 88 years of futility? The term fluke seems fitting after this abysmal season. That's going a little too far.
  8. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 09:12 PM) Comcast pans out to some fools banging on drums and dancing. Those two men, still are living in their parents basement. I bet they can analyze the subtle differences between Star Wars I the original and Star Wars I the directors cut. At least they'll see postseason baseball. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 09:13 PM) I'm no Frank Thomas fan, but congratulations to him for shoving it up Ozzie's and the rest of the White Sox collective ass. Yep...even though the circle jerk for Thomas that will take place now is going to get annoying.
  9. QUOTE(SinkingShip06 @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 09:12 PM) "Frank is not gonna beat us" -White Sox Ozzie is a disgraceful piece of s***.
  10. Contreras is throwing at about 70 pct right now.
  11. Nice pitch Contreras. Where was the freaking forkball? Pull Contreras from this game. AJP = the most overrated player on the Sox. BTW....please shut the f*** up Ozzie Guillen
  12. Why is he throwing his 3rd best pitch to their best hitter? Contreras' slider has killed him this year. 3 straight sliders? Are you freaking kidding me?
  13. Jermaine Dye's footwork this season in the outfield has been horrendous. He hasn't thrown out anyone at home this season, and most of that is due to not being aggressive charging the ball or not getting behind the ball. He's definitely not an excellent defensive player.
  14. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 09:04 PM) The game has sweep written all over it. I hope, that if we play like crap during this home stretch of games, that our fans boo the living hell out of this team.
  15. I'll be shocked if we have the lead after this inning.
  16. Contreras definitely isn't throwing as hard as he was before the injury. He's also back to his sidearm delivery. One of the things that no one has talked about this year is how much velocity Contreras has lost from last year. He's at 91 mph this year, compared to 96 mph at the end of last year.
  17. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 08:58 PM) Brian just earned himself a bench spot. It was a double....it wasn't a home run or a single and then stolen base.
  18. Why do we continue to play Uribe? Ozzie's use of this personnel is absolutely sickening.
  19. SSI...did you notice that the A's had a pull shift on for AJP?
  20. McCarthy is now warming up, and not Haeger. Nicely turned DP.
  21. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 08:49 PM) You can't take a chance here. Remove him. If his hamstring tightened up, why can't it occur again an inning from now? Or grow progressively worse? What Hawk just mentioned right now is the key. Jose may compensate for his injury by altering his delivery. This is ALL on Guillen -- have to remove him immediately after this inning and not risk an injury. If it's a cramp, it's logical that he could stay in the game.
  22. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 08:47 PM) And down goes Contreras. Looks like he pulled a muscle. That's the last we're seeing him this season. Looks like I spoke too soon, as it's only a cramp hopefully. Haeger is warming up in the pen. He's staying in the game...good to see it's not a serious physical injury.
  23. And down goes Contreras. Looks like he pulled a muscle. That's the last we're seeing him this season.
