  1. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 05:04 AM) It will be a beautiful day in the city of Chicago when that useless scrub is finally dismissed. It should be fun watching Pods Blak™ blow ass in the leadoff spot in '07 and beyond. At least Pierre will make contact, won't take a called 3rd strike, will hustle on defense, and can bunt. I don't want him to sign with the Sox....but I'll take anything over Pods.
  2. This team can't catch a break. The umpires are really out to get us. That last pitch to Konerko was a ball. It wasn't even close to being a strike!
  3. I'm so thankful that Ozzie continues to put Mackowiak in CF. Luckily, putting him in CF hasn't haunted us once this season, so I can't fault our great manager for continuing to put him out there.
  4. What was that, about 6 called 3rd strikes tonight? I hope these guys don't try too hard....they might hurt themselves.
  5. This team sucks. SWING THE FREAKING BAT.
  6. Is Fields going to break a record with most games played before he finally gets his first MLB AB?
  7. When Pods leaves, there's going to be a lot of depressed fat teenage girls in the Chicago area.
  8. Thome hasn't seen a fastball in the last 2 months he's not afraid to foul off.
  9. QUOTE(SoxHawk1980 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 04:46 AM) Did anyone see any intensity in the Sox tonight? Or are the A's twice as good as the Sox? This game was lost when our manager made the lineup.
  10. When's the next "In or Out" thread coming?
  11. Amazing AB by Iguchi. These guys are a heartless bunch of underachievers. They don't deserve the playoffs.
  12. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 04:43 AM) i cant possibly understand why he is still on the bench right now. Because he's not a power hitter or a speed player (even though he leads this team in infield hits)
  13. If Street comes in, I'd rather see Gload face him than Iguchi.
  14. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 04:41 AM) Zito and his big curveballs versus the corpseball express tomorrow night is looking like a lock for us huh. Well, he owns the Sox, so we might as well just conceed the game now.
  15. QUOTE(SoxHawk1980 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 04:40 AM) Aaaaaah, I see. Well, if some injections are all it takes, then perhaps so. Of course, there are a few guys in our starting lineup that might want to take that trip with him.
  16. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 04:37 AM) Oh, wait Marco Scutaro with another hit. I forgot he was an all-star this year. Scutaro is hitting about .035 points better than our "All-star", AJP, during the 2nd half of the season.
  17. QUOTE(SoxHawk1980 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 04:37 AM) Pitchers can't just always will their velocity back. He isn't pitching in the 80's on purpose. Something has caused him to lose that velocity. I don't expect it to magically return. It's probably nothing that a trip back to Mexico can't help.
  18. How many times can Hawk mess up the outs or the count tonight? Great back-up by Pods...I'm sure he was busting his ass getting to the ball.
  19. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 04:36 AM) you are right, i just want to know how you think we can upgrade speed. SS is the perfect place, with names like Rollins and Lugo being mentioned. Of course, I think Pierre will either be our LF or CF next year.
  20. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 04:34 AM) If Kenny really wants to fix this team. He needs to fire Ozzie, Cora, Walker. He needs to ditch Prancer, Uribe, Freddy. Next year is a contract year for Garcia....so I guarantee he'll find his 94 mph fastball again.
  21. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 04:33 AM) I dont want it to be over. I want to f***ing win. Well, of course. But this team has not shown during the 2nd half of the year that we can realistically expect them to play well this last few weeks. We have way too many easy outs at the plate, a pathetic manager, and 1.5 relievers we can actually trust.
  22. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 04:31 AM) Get off this f***ing team you scrub It can't happen soon enough.
  23. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 04:31 AM) I hate this so, so much. At least it's over in a few weeks....and the Twins somehow lost with Santana on the mound.
  24. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 04:30 AM) Ozzie is really pulling all the right strings tonight. I feel so much better knowing that when we need a good managerial decision down the stretch, he's sitting in the dugout.
  25. It's the 8th inning, and we have Anderson, Uribe, and Pods bat. Talk about some tough outs.
