  1. Bunting? Screw that, he should be swinging away.
  2. QUOTE(Allsox @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 12:45 AM) Nice quick inning by Jon. C'mon offense, the guy's throwing meatballs right down the plate, let's go! You talking about Garland?
  3. We're making Corcoran look like Roy Oswalt so far. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 12:42 AM) 3 breaking pitches low and away, and Uribe steps in the bucket and misses them. Its nice to see the Joe Mays scouting report is in full effect tonight. Keep it low and away to our righties, throw breaking pitches in the dirt, and let the magic happen. We better hope our 3-4-5 step up tonight. Yanks tied Tigers.
  4. Ugh...nice to see these guys focused tonight. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 12:40 AM) So far the first time through our lineup, our guys have their heads up their asses. Followed by the worst AB I've ever seen. Big inning here for Garland, as Tampa has all the momentum in this game.
  5. Nice pull baseball approach by AJP. That's his 200th groundball out to the right side this year.
  6. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 12:35 AM) Paulie needs to work on hitting line drives more and stop with this pop up s*** with men on. He pops it up, then does the suicide shrug. He's turned into a line drive hitter. It's when he tries to do too much, that's when he pops it up. He rarely hits towering home runs to LF now.
  7. We just need our hitters to not try and make up the deficit with one swing. Corcoran will definitely give us good pitches to hit.
  8. Josh Paul with a hit? Garland is throwing everything up in the zone...he's not going to last long tonight.
  9. This is the type of pitcher that our hitters should crush.
  10. QUOTE(G&T @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 12:21 AM) Not a good way to start when you could barely hold a 7 run lead last night. The momentum the Tampa offense had last night looks like it's leading right into tonight. Their hitters look way too comfortable at the plate. SWING THE BAT!
  11. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 12:19 AM) Jons stuff doesnt look bad, i think he will settle down Those 88 mph fastballs get hit very hard when they're not moving.
  12. What a horses*** pitch by Garland with 2 outs. His sinker is up in the zone so far.
  13. Great catch by Uribe. Garland needs to get himself a DP right now.
  14. Garland with way too good of a pitch with 2 strikes. Tampa's a few hits away from having a big lead. This team just can't seem to be motivated every game, no matter who we play.
  15. QUOTE(G&T @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 12:13 AM) Like 3. I see that his homer went out to center. Did it make it out by a lot?
  16. This pitching continues to amaze. I missed the homer though...how far was it?
  17. Jose has some mechanical issues, and he's gone away from what made him great. However, Contreras is not as good as he looked for that extended stretch. He's never had pinpoint control....and then all of a sudden, he was able to throw any pitch he wanted in the perfect location.
  18. I've always heard that Rocco might end up in Boston.
  19. It's over...thankfully. Nice to have the WC lead again.
  20. Good job of making sure he threw a strike. 35K on a Tuesday night vs Tampa is impressive since school has started.
  21. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 03:12 AM) Yeah. Bad back, partial tear of the rotator cuff, and whatever the deal is with Cotts. AKA...selling your soul to the devil. Wow...impressive play by Upton.
  22. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 03:10 AM) It's amazing how volatile relievers are. It doesn't make any sense. I'm a huge proponent of trading relievers at their peak value (unless they're a closer).
  23. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 03:08 AM) and he used to be so $$ It's kinda funny what happened to our main 3 relievers from the first 3/4 of last season Good job Gload!
