  1. Big batter in this game in Morneau here. He's had some great swings against Buehrle this year.
  2. Taveras has a 30 game hit streak. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 07:27 PM) Space time must have just collapsed. To that effect, I'll call Jason to see if he's finally getting some. Nice personal attack.
  3. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 07:26 PM) That must be a mistake, you can't get Gload out twice in a row. It would have been a homer in Charlotte.
  4. QUOTE(The Critic @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 07:25 PM) Yep. 2nd in my MVP voting behind JD. Absolutely...did you see where I said that Dye, Crede, and AJP are our 3 most irreplaceable players?
  5. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 07:25 PM) It'd be a big help to the Sox if Silva now can remember he sucks balls. I don't think he forgot that...we just kept hitting into double plays when we could have busted the game open.
  6. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 07:25 PM) If we have a comfortable lead in the 9th I would love to see Bobby or Matt drill one of their guys with 2 outs. I wouldn't.
  7. It's been a real pleasure watching Joe Crede this year.
  8. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 07:23 PM) What's with the large amount of DJ today so far? I love DJ on the air, but he's still got work to do as a PBP guy. I've always noticed that when the team is going well, Hawk hogs the mic. When he's down about the team, DJ seems to get more air time.
  9. There we go!!! I'm sure no one will believe me, but I said the disappointing comment to try and get the jinx going.
  10. 2 runs thru 4.2 innings against Silva is disappointing.
  11. I like DJ's analysis of Iguchi this season. Iguchi looks like he has no energy.
  12. Holy cow!!! I can't believe my eyes. Great job Pods.
  13. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 07:10 PM) Our hitters are not making Silva work. We should be working the count to get him out and get to their taxed bullpen. I'd rather score against Silva, as he's much worse than any of their bullpen guys.
  14. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 07:07 PM) Uh oh, bad news for Brian. Getting a hit= 3 days in a row on the bench now. STOP BEING SO NEGATIVE!! In all seriousness, I don't know what to believe in now that you've seemed to have lost faith.
  15. Our left fielders could learn from Ford on that play, as he sprinted back to where the ball would land. Good AB Juan.
  16. QUOTE(3E8 @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 07:02 PM) 26th fewest DPs out of 30 teams. Yeah, that doesn't surprise me. Only PK seems to hit into a lot of them. Guys like Thome don't hit into many, as he'll either K or hit it in the air.
  17. Well done Mark! Our leadoff hitter's starting this inning.
  18. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 07:02 PM) Has there been any word on Radke? Santana + 4 other guys isn't really that good of a pitching staff. Radke's expected to remain in their rotation. I think Gardenhire was just being overly proactive.
  19. Buehrle's going to get someone on the concourse killed if he keeps throwing meatballs to Morneau.
  20. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 07:00 PM) He's now 7 for 16 with the bases loaded. And I guarantee he's hit into at least 4 DP.
  21. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 06:59 PM) what a break for the tinky winkies. I think hawk made a good point - the twins pitching is in shambles. As is Detroit's, IMO. I f only our starters could pull it together for a month. The Twins pitching isn't that bad. All the need is for guys like Bonser, Silva, and Garza to go 5 innings without allowing a huge number, and their strong offense and great bullpen will give them a great chance to win.
  22. QUOTE(G&T @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 06:58 PM) Stop hitting it to third. But then we couldn't pull the ball.
  23. QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 06:58 PM) Damnit. Crede not so clutch there. I love Crede, but he's hit into quite a few bases loaded double plays this year.
