  1. Good hustle....don't ever f***ing do it again!
  2. QUOTE(iguchi=dank @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 12:55 AM) dear god pods. PLEASE hurt yourself. Actually I havn't been hoping he gets hurt enough lately, gotta do that more. We're not allowed to root for injuries on here. Keep it to yourself...like many others do.
  3. Uribe.....please bring back the leg kick. What in the hell has happened to our offense?
  4. QUOTE(iguchi=dank @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 12:50 AM) We really need to find a way to keep things how they are with their crowd out of it. Would be such a big win today. Then tomorrow just swing away and if we lose.. whatever its santana at home. However it will be much easier to swing away if we have less pressure. Absolutely....tonight's game is HUGE.
  5. Crede has some warning track power these days.
  6. QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 12:35 AM) Yes, agree. He is an extremely hard worker and I believe they should have sat him out more frequently, especially coming off an essentially wasted year last year. I suspect he won't be close to 100% the rest of the year. It's no surprise that when he pulls the ball now, he's ending up rolling over on the ball instead of driving the ball. David DeJesus has a longer homer to RF in the last month than Jim Thome does.
  7. Some poor ABs by our 3-4-5 after the leadoff single. QUOTE(iguchi=dank @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 12:32 AM) I actually think thats his fastball. A pitcher who is topping out at 82 just struckout thome/konerko It's been happening all week to our entire team. Just wait until we see an exceptional changeup tomorrow.
  8. QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 12:30 AM) Guessed wrong on that changeup I'd say. Thome just isn't squaring up the good pitches he's been getting to hit. I think his wrist is really bothering him.
  9. QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 12:28 AM) Going after Thome on outside pitches. He's not taking the bait ... good strategy. Until then
  10. QUOTE(iguchi=dank @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 12:16 AM) thats usually the case. but not tonight in my opinion He still knows what he's doing. So many of our guys are struggling on even a decent change-up right now. Mackowiak is the first guy that seemed to look for that pitch, and then hammer it.
  11. QUOTE(iguchi=dank @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 12:14 AM) thank god. radke is impersonating garcia out there tonight. way to go rob Radke has pinpoint control though
  12. Garland keeps hanging offspeed pitches in big spots.
  13. Some amazing defense by both sides tonight. Iguchi looks like he has no energy at the plate or in the field.
  14. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 19, 2006 -> 11:45 PM) At least Pods made the Twins pay for another miscue. Who was jphat referring to last night when he said good posters are scared off of the gamethreads? Jabroni
  15. We need to capitalize on these errors and get a few runs.
  16. I'm happy that they found the partial tear. This gives hope for Politte that he can rehab the injury and pitch in the majors again. If there was nothing physically wrong, then I don't think he would have been a MLB pitcher again.
  17. Good pitch by Garland...and a smart decision to pitch around Mauer.
  18. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Aug 19, 2006 -> 11:27 PM) How does Minnesota continually produce scrub players within their system with odd names who kill us? Cause they play the game the right way. They don't preach homers...they preach moving runners over, etc. This was well documented in an SI article about David Ortiz.
  19. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Aug 19, 2006 -> 11:22 PM) Wow, that's bulls*** From the 3-0 pitch to the 3-2 pitch, that's a huge zone. Even our pitchers look slow in the field now. Nice to see Iguchi standing still and not backing up the play.
  20. QUOTE(loltrain @ Aug 19, 2006 -> 08:45 PM) Are Chisox fans annoyed with Brian Anderson's offensive issues? I think they are similar players, trying to work through rookie struggles, Granderson is a bit more experienced and polished which led to his earlier success, but now pitchers have adjusted to him and he is struggling. It isn't just soft stuff away either (although that is his main problem) he just looks worn down and slow batspeed wise. I hope you didn't take it as me trying to rip on Granderson? I played a lot against him growing up, and I'm a huge fan. I was simply trying to get a good fans opinion on what the Tigers fans feel about his strikeout issues this year.
  21. I thought Ozzie said that outside of having Ozuna play for Pods tomorrow, he was going to start his normal 9 for every game of this trip?
  22. QUOTE(Bonderman38 @ Aug 19, 2006 -> 06:20 AM) Yes, it is very irritating. But we know that it is probably just part of his growth process. Once he can recognize the soft stuff away, he will be alright. He's always had difficulties with the offspeed stuff away....trust me
