  1. There we go Juan! Time for Anderson to do something to help this team.
  2. QUOTE(Wedge @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 06:33 PM) is Cintron going to be our everyday SS in that case? If Uribe keeps playing this stiff, then Cintron is the better option.
  3. QUOTE(ottawa_sox @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 06:30 PM) Mark missed Sandy's glove by a lot. Doesn't matter, he still ended up speeding up Casey's bat by throwing that pitch there.
  4. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 06:30 PM) Buehrle is really struggling. But he's not throwing near as bad as the past two games scores would indicate. Lets score some runs for Mark. For a few years this guy has been our ace and its time the offense picked him up and gets him back (of course they've done it a ton with Mark just giving the lead right back) but lets do it again and this time Marky Mark will hold the Tigers down. I'm beginning to agree with you that Uribe is gone this offseason.
  5. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 06:28 PM) Talk about a brutal pitch by Buehrle. Casey hasn't been looking to go opposite field all day; his swing right now is so pull happy. Not only does he speed up Casey's bat by throwing that curveball, but he throws in on the inner half. That's not a good job by Alomar or whoever is calling pitches. 3-0. Great. And for anyone who's seen Casey bat a lot in his career, that's the only type of pitch he can really drive to right field. I'm so thrilled we got Sandy and his leadership.
  6. Buehrle keeps throwing that offspeed pitch inside with 2 strikes to lefties. Buehrle has a great cutter going today, but some stupid pitch selection. It's amazing how teams just KILL us with their speed.
  7. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 06:24 PM) One mistake and its 2-0. Wish we turn that DP. Doesn't show in the scorecard, but that hustle mixed with a slow give to Iguchi by Uribe gives them this. It's the little things like hustling out of the box to avoid the DP that has made the Tigers so great this year. On the other hand, it's the inability to turn a DP on a routine grounder which has killed our pitchers this season.
  8. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 06:24 PM) That wasn't a pitch a lot of guys swing at that far down and in. That's right in Casey's wheelhouse though.
  9. Those two runs are on Juan Uribe. Team speed also comes back to bite us in the ass again.
  10. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 06:21 PM) Uribe could have knitted a sweater in the time it took him to turn that double play. I wonder how much confidence he has right now?
  11. And now Uribe's inability to get the ball out of his glove cost us a DP.
  12. Uribe didn't look too agile on that play.
  13. What are our hitters doing? It's like they're scared to death to actually take a strike against Rogers. Our 4-5-6 are the best chances for production today.
  14. I really hope KW can aquire a back-up outfielder who we can play against lefty pitchers.
  15. We're playing right into Rogers game plan by swinging at everything he throws up there.
  16. This game might take an hour and a half.
  17. Rogers owns us. Our hitters keep swinging out of their ass, and they're not making solid contact.
  18. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 03:19 PM) While its moronic to think Kenny will not be going after Free Agents, I think that quote does have some validity to it. I believe there will be two or three team altering moves( a move like Stewart getting the backup job doesnt fit this bill) that will take place this off season, and them all via trade. I still think Freddy gets moved in a package, maybe for a new leadoff hitter, or maybe for some prospects to re-stock the system. I'll be shocked if we go after any impact players in the FA market this offseason.
  19. Great to see him come back and get him.
