  1. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 01:06 AM) 2.2 IP for Garza 7 ER 9 hits I think HE GONE!! Losing Liriano is very demoralizing for them. 4 solidly hit balls this inning. Please make contact Anderson.
  2. AJP had some funny ABs vs Verlander last game
  3. QUOTE(Felix @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 12:56 AM) Count's control is leaving me wanting more. So is his stuff.
  4. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 12:53 AM) guillen owns white sox
  5. So far tonight, Contreras is only throwing 90-91 mph.
  6. QUOTE(AbeFroman @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 12:52 AM) ugh... glad we got to see that last commercial instead of the first pitch of the inning As long as it's an out, I won't complain.
  7. QUOTE(Felix @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 12:51 AM) Lots of high strikes. We saw that last night in the beginning with Paulie too and for the rest of the night he was swinging at the high pitch. I thought the pitches were definitely strikes. They were high curves by Verlander, but they dropped over the plate in the strike zone.
  8. Casey catches a break, but Thome remains in pull mode. SWING THE FREAKING BAT! We have to lead the world in called 3rd strikes.
  9. Absolutely no chance we can steal on this combo tonight.
  10. Impressive job by Pods getting on top of that pitch. Steve Stone was saying today that Pods struggles when he swings at a high fastball.
  11. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 09:58 PM) Uribe's play imo has to be number 1 because of the situation, taking that into consideration that's easily the best web gem in this teams history, at least imo. I'm also of the opinion that Iguchi's play is pretty damn overrated. It was one of the best throws you'll ever see, however he brought that on himself because he tripped over his own feet. If he doesnt trip then it's a pretty routine play with Molina running. I couldn't have said it better myself. Uribe's play is the best defensive play in franchise history. I wonder if ESPN will then do the top 3 home runs in franchise history?
  12. I'm thinking that the Yankees not going with the shift might have made Thome more pull-cautious. He saw that he had more of an opening on the right side, and he was getting way out in front of everything. He's so much more dangerous when he's hitting the ball from left center to center.
  13. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 02:25 PM) 11-0 That's a pretty good record Curt.
  14. Rowand and I so called that in the game thread.
  15. It took forever, and it wasn't pretty, but that's 4 straight series wins now! Congrats to Javy for win #100.
  16. YES! FINALLY! EVEN THE LAST GROUNDER TOOK FOREVER.
  17. Wow...he would have had him easily at 2nd base.
  18. Crede...what are you doing? That would have been a routine play for Cintron.
  19. We knew it wouldn't be easy. Use the hook Jenks!
  20. It's too bad Torre's not letting Wilson hit. He would have no chance against Jenks. Jenks has to keep the ball up on Bernie. He's a great low ball hitter.
  21. Posada was sitting on the fastball. Good think Jenks had a lot of velocity on it.
