  1. Good speed...long way to run from the warning track.
  2. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 01:53 AM) they didn't face Kazmir. It's the way things are going now....Kazmir gets hurt just before he's supposed to face NY and Detroit. Also, thanks Toronto for not lining up Halladay to face your division rivals this week.
  3. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 01:52 AM) Problem is our defense is what sucks. We should be winning this game with proper execution. I think our chemistry is really bad right now, to be honest.
  4. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 01:52 AM) Man. SO close. He's one of your favorites, isn't he?
  5. Ugly swing by Anderson. Too many guys swinging early in the count has allowed Hudson to go 7 innings tonight. That's one of the many things we miss with Thome and PK out of the lineup.
  6. QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 01:50 AM) ick, i just hate when a borderline pitcher dominates the Sox like this. It just bugs the hell out of me. I know he pitched better since being a starter, but not like this We don't exactly have our A lineup tonight.
  7. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 01:48 AM) Hafner 2-R Homer Cle up 5-4. Thanks Boston for pitching to him.
  8. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 01:48 AM) Now if Pods was in center, that ball would of been racing towards the wall. Pods would be on the ground stunned. It would have landed 30 feet in front of him.
  9. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 01:47 AM) No I was commenting on a thread this morning where several people concluded that our offense has looked better since Thome was injured. Apparently we've faced amazing pitching in the last 5 days. If we don't get PK and Thome back for the next long stretch of games, our season could be in serious jeopardy.
  10. Damn...nice play there. It almost sneaked by him.
  11. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 01:45 AM) Uribe does that silly little wrist flip catch all the time. And he always looks like he's gonna drop the ball. He really f***ed up today doing it. Seriously, he could NOT have picked a worse day to do it. You just got benched for being lazy on defense, and you do that. He's going to be sitting a while. The ironic thing is that Uribe is one of the best guys in baseball at catching anything that touches his mitt.
  12. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 01:42 AM) wth did Uribe do? i changed the channel Dropped a routine foul pop. I don't mean difficult....it was worse than Crede against Manny last year. Of course, he tried to catch it without two hands.
  13. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 01:42 AM) I love how much love Uribe still gets, even though he seems to always make stupid, inexcusable errors like that. People are brainwashed by the catch in the World Series, and by Hawk. Sure, it was a great catch, don't get me wrong. No offense, but please show us a little more respect than that. Outside of the last 10 games, he was a well above average defensive player. He's very streaky as a hitter, but he still produces a lot for someone making 4 million who can hit low in the order.
  14. I don't like where this is headed with Uribe. He's such a streaky player, the last thing we need is for him to be on the bench for a while. However, Ozzie can't let him keep pulling this spiff.
  15. QUOTE(Maverick0984 @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 01:40 AM) this game doesn't have a good feeling to it We need to find a way to score 2 runs next inning, and then hold them in the 7th.
  16. At least we're not in a rush to get through the inning or anything like that. When you have two players drop routine plays, you don't deserve to win.
  17. Wow! Just wow. We might have just seen the beginning of the end of Uribe's Sox career.
  18. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 01:38 AM) I thought they said ~ 2 hours at the start (7:00) meaning around 9:00, which is is currently closing in on. If I'm KC, I take a little longer to make sure my gloves are tight, my bat is clean, and my face is clean of sweat. Looking at that radar, it's going to be within 45 minutes.
  19. Crap...we're in trouble now. Anyone have an idea on how soon it might rain?
  20. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 01:33 AM) He does have an 8 game hitting streak during which he's hitting .400. Coming in anyway. Just FYI. I meant with his swings tonight. Nice to see you're alive though.
  21. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 01:30 AM) It was the right size and then the wroonngg fishing wind......right shape. I really would love to know why they thought trying to sneak a 88 mph fastball inside on a red hot hitter would be a good idea.
  22. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 01:29 AM) Freddy is hanging meatballs now over the plate. This could get ugly. He's been throwing meatballs all game...it was just a matter of time before they did some damage. For some reason, he's throwing even more fastballs than usual tonight.
  23. Nice play by Uribe to knock it down. We have to get our offense going before this storm hits.
