  1. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 07:04 PM) Hmm....still interesting that Mac isn't warming. It would be just our luck that we trade McCarthy for Gordon.
  2. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 07:03 PM) We don't deserve to win this game with this embarassing showing. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
  3. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 07:03 PM) I call bulls***. I can remember Konerko throwing out Pierre offhand, and I believe there are a couple more. He's referring to our outfielders, and he's absolutely correct. Our outfielders haven't directly thrown out a runner at home this season.
  4. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 07:01 PM) What has Rock done to deserve your hate? I don't know if he deserves criticism for this, but our base running has sure sucked this season.
  5. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 07:00 PM) I wonder if it's possible for me to hate the entire White Sox coaching staff. They've absolutely sucked this wknd.
  6. When you're down by 3 in the late innings, you can't risk the rather obvious out at home. What a disaster of a series this continues to be.
  7. Good swing, but we've sure failed to capitalize on bad pitches by the Yankees this series.
  8. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 06:53 PM) Wright done. He's lucky he didn't give up 8 runs today. He didn't have anything on his pitches, and we were a hit or two away from starting the conga line. QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 06:54 PM) We let Wright off the hook too many time. Hardly deserves a standing O on his way out. Hell....at least he got good results. He'd be our 2nd best pitcher right now.
  9. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 06:51 PM) At this point youd have to agree with him. This team has morphed into the 90's Indians teams At least those team had some great defense.
  10. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 06:50 PM) He pulls a good game out of his ass on the order of about once a month. Thought this might have been the game. I know I'm Mr. Pessimism, but there was just a terrible vibe throughout this wknd series. Sadly, there wasn't a doubt in my mind Garcia would get rocked, especially after the debacle in the top of the 1st inning.
  11. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 06:48 PM) I like Sean, but I didn't want to see him today, cause I knew if we did, it'd be for bad reasons. Garcia was facing the Yanks....was there any doubt?
  12. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 06:45 PM) I wonder if BMac will throw today....it might be telling if he doesn't. Should be Riske for one inning, Tracey for two, and Thornton for one.
  13. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 06:44 PM) Francona and Torre have made him look like quite the chump lately. The Yankees have done everything possible to create offense this series. Meanwhile, we continue to play station-to-station. The worst example was in the first game of the series, and Anderson had a leadoff hit. Instead of trying to create something with Ozuna at the plate, Ozzie lets him swing away and he hits a weak grounder to 2nd.
  14. This has been an embarrassing series for Ozzie.
  15. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 06:41 PM) Jeter and ARod drove in 3 in the first. You can give PK/Iguchi an assist for the momentum the Yanks had. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 06:42 PM) Is it just me, or is Hawk excessively annoying lately? I mean, usually, he's just a bit annoying and bearable, but I don't even want to listen to him lately. This is his best announcing game I can ever recall.
  16. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 06:39 PM) We're what? 80 something games into the season and this team has supposedly not even hit it's "rythym" yet? If they havn't picked it up by now what makes you think they will at all, Hawk? Remember a month ago back when Hawk was saying this was the most exciting Sox team ever? I couldn't believe the slap in the face that was to the 2005 Sox. QUOTE(SoxnGiants @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 06:39 PM) How the hell can Freddy still be in the game? Ozzie really makes some bizarre decisions at times. Can we please get Brandon in the rotation somehow. It's good to be friends with Ozzie.
  17. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 06:36 PM) Would anyone deal Fields to San Diego for Linebrink? It would bring the Sox a great righty setup man, get McCarthy into the rotation and would allow for the team to deal Garcia. It could be just the shakeup this team needs. Absolutely not. I've seen Linebrink pitch a lot, and I've never been overly impressed. For a top-notch 3rd base prospect, you should get a better fit for the future.
  18. You gotta love the leash that Garcia's allowed to be on.
  19. PK seems tired at the plate. His bat speed has been off for the past few weeks.
  20. This ass-kicking this wknd might be the best thing that could have ever happened to this team.
  21. A pathetic job of charging the ball by Dye. I'm so f***ing sick and annoyed with our outfield defense this season. This series is magnifying the holes this team has.
  22. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 06:02 PM) It is freakin strange that after the beginning of this season, I'd feel most comfortable with Jon on the mound right now. I'd still take Contreras, as at least he can get a K once he has 2 strikes.
  23. QUOTE(soxunited @ Jul 16, 2006 -> 06:01 PM) Not if the A's re-sign him, which is in the realm of possibility There's not a chance in hell he goes back to the A's.
