  1. Hopefully we can come back tonight. If not, this is a terrible f***ing sports day. Tigers won, Yankees won, Cubs won, and the Bulls pick the Tyson Chandler of college bball.
  2. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 12:30 AM) Funny that you would say that, LOL. It's like clockwork....the Sox fall behind, and certain posters attack my posts even more.
  3. Man....everyone, besides Iguchi on D last night, seems to be a step slow this series.
  4. The worst thing about this series is now the Tigers don't face Duke, who would have given them the best chance to beat the Tigers. Instead, we have to face him tomorrow, and he's the same type of lefty we struggle against.
  5. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 12:27 AM) Maybe I should invoke the "I wouldn't be surprised if tonight's game was the start of a long losing streak" battle cry :rolly :banghead We get the point.
  6. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 12:25 AM) The pretty much outplayed us last night too. No way. We kicked their ass, but just played stupid and with no focus.
  7. Ha...keep throwing 89 mph fastballs down the cock Freddy.
  8. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 12:25 AM) Agree with this sentiment too. THey don't know how to approach certain pitchers. And that is seen in the fact that they are only 23 runs up on the second best offense, when they should be many more. And they've struggled all years vs lefties.
  9. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 12:23 AM) Yes, when you play 6-8 bad teams an aggregate 50 times a year, guess what, you are not going to go 50-0. As long as the Sox win this series, we have nothing to complain about. The Pirates are a very competitive team at home. The Pirates suck. In the past, we would have problems because the teams we were chasing would dominate the weak teams, and we would lose games to those weak teams that we shouldn't have. However, the Pirates have clearly outplayed us tonight so far.
  10. Way to keep trying to pull the ball. Just an awful approach at the plate by our guys tonight.
  11. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 12:20 AM) Damn straight!!!! It's not like we're the best offense in baseball by 23 runs or anything. These guys don't know what they are doing! You're good with finding stats. What are we averaging in games started by RHP and LHP this season?
  12. What type of storm are we looking at here? Hopefully if it rains, it's just a quick storm.
  13. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 12:11 AM) Will the sox see over 10 pitches next inning? Sadly, it's very possible they don't with who's coming up. Pods will likely see a few pitches. Hawk...please shut up.
  14. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 12:09 AM) THIS IS f***ING s***. MAHOLM HAS NOT EVEN THROWN 60 PITCHES. DO WE ACTUALLY SCOUT PITCHERS OUTSIDE OF THE UPPER ECHELON OF THE LEAGUE? I SURE AM GLAD FREDDY IS MAKING SOLID CONTACT, BECAUSE NOBODY ELSE SEEMS TO HAVE A CLUE. Whenever we face lefties who change speeds, our righties fall into the trap of pulling the ball far too often. When you couple that with our lefties looking clueless, it's a recipe for some bad ABs.
  15. QUOTE(soxunited @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 12:07 AM) Le'ts hope Freddy and the defense can hold them to 2 runs, the game will be winnable. If the Sox cannot get 2 runs off Pitt, I will be speechless. But i guess once again, lefties are once against giving the Sox serious trouble We face two more the next two games, and our offense is in even bigger trouble without the DH. It's too bad Ozuna is hurt.
  16. It feels like last night's terrible vibe has translated into this performance today. It's going to be tough to get some runs next inning with the 3 pitchers up.
  17. Garcia can't even get the f***ing pitcher out. He's lucky we're not down 5 or 6 to 0 right now.
  18. Wow...thanks Paulino. Very good job by Pods of not throwing home, and getting us the out.
  19. No reason to ever throw Craig Wilson a 2 strike fastball. He's one of the worst offspeed hitters in baseball. QUOTE(soxunited @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 11:54 PM) That was a good call and yes the Sox appear a lot slower ever since the arrived in Pittsburgh You think they're flat?
  20. We're such a slow team. That play didn't look close at first.
