  1. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 08:43 PM) We beat ourselves yet again today. I'm actually getting used to this. This is nowhere near as bad as some of the games we gave away this year. We've put ourselves in a situation where we have to rely on our 3-4-5 hitters way too much.
  2. QUOTE(WCSox @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 08:41 PM) I don't think that he was ripping Thornton in particular. We only have one RELIABLE reliever and Thornton shouldn't have to pitch more than an inning. Exactly. I really feel bad for Ozzie. Anyways, you can't just lay in a 2-0 pitch in that situation against someone who's swinging the bat well today.
  3. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 08:40 PM) yep, one mistake sure makes thorton a bad reliever alright He'd be a good reliever if he was like 4th or 5th on the depth charts. Instead, he's our lefty set-up man now, and his WHIP vs righties is high. QUOTE(TheOcho @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 08:41 PM) Me or the comment that I quoted ... Quoted
  4. QUOTE(TheOcho @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 08:39 PM) :headshake Yep...one of the lamest posts in the history of this board.
  5. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 08:38 PM) Well, Victor Martinez beat us today. As does the fact we have one good reliever.
  6. f***....Thornton's control got him in a jam.
  7. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 08:33 PM) That was bad. That guy was all fastballs, and we did nothing. Haven't you seen the Sox hit in extra inning games? Do you actually think they're going to string together singles? We need a walkoff homer to win this.
  8. That was the inning to win it, as the Indians have their 3-4-5 coming up.
  9. We keep taking first pitch fastball down the plate, and getting into a hole.
  10. I think Thornton threw a little cutter/slider to get that last out. Nice to see him get inside on the hitter. How many good swings will Gload take and foul off this AB?
  11. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 08:22 PM) Not sure which game you are watching. I didn't think he got in position well at all.
  12. Sizemore sure had some good pitches to hit that AB.
  13. QUOTE(WCSox @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 08:17 PM) Totally agree, and am glad that Ozzie went to Thornton. I agree. Hopefully, Thornton can hold the runner on better also.
  14. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 08:12 PM) He only has 63 at bats for the full season, so everything with Pablo is a very limited sample. He batted .248 vs RHP last year, and over .300 vs LHP.
  15. Just laugh...it's all you can do.
  16. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 08:10 PM) Pablo's hitting .389 off of Righties this year. Isn't that a much more limited sample?
  17. Terrible AB by Ozuna. I think why he only faces lefties usually.
  18. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 08:07 PM) Steroids Betancourt in to take the loss again. Thome just needs to make contact on his fastball....and this game's over.
  19. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 08:02 PM) I take my chance with them trying to bunt 99 mph over trying to hit a 2 run dong off of someone with over 110 pitches. I would have never had Buehrle throw a pitch if they didn't show they were bunting. I didn't mind the decision to leave Buehrle in to face Brossard. He's so much better against RHP.
  20. Cintron with a lucky bounce. Lets get some Ozuna magic!
  21. Thanks Cleveland for not bunting.
  22. When Jenks is ready to come in for the 9th inning, do the pitchers in front of him ever do their job in that inning?
  23. You're better off leaving Buehrle in to see if the Indians were bunting. Let him throw one to first, and see if the Indians show their hand. I'll take my chances with Buehrle fielding a bunt over Jenks.
  24. f*** this umpire. That 2-2 pitch has been a strike all game.
