  1. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:40 PM) Have there been ANY ground outs? It seems like they're using the Joe Crede 2003 Pop-Up Edition Bats. I believe that was the first ball that the infield even touched before.
  2. Great speed by Ozuna there. It was very close to being a collision.
  3. PATHETIC! Who wants to start a Fire Greg Walker thread?
  4. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:33 PM) Hate to break it to you but Morneau is a f***ing stud. Sure hes no young Frank, but hes just as good as Frank currently is now Morneau is easily a better hitter than Frank right now, even if Frank is healthy. Nothing against Frank, but Morneau is one of the premiere power hitters in the AL now.
  5. Aren't the Sox like 2 for 30 with the bases loaded this year? I know A.J. had that clutch blooper against Tampa, and Timo had that bunt hit with them loaded earlier this year.
  6. QUOTE(Y2HH @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:25 PM) We have been dominated this entire series by a group of pitching BUMS. :banghead Meanwhile...Minnesota keeps winning, even against good teams, while we have the opportunity to take an easy series from a BAD team and can't do it. Wow...this seems to happen every year. Oh, I forgot, it's almost June, we are supposed to give the Twins the division lead by then. The Twins beat the s*** out of this same Tampa team last series. With Morneau back, their offense is extremely dangerous. If their relief keeps up their incredible year, I'm not sure how any team in the AL Central will keep up with them.
  7. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:25 PM) Allow me to be pessimistic for a moment... Sounds like we're playing some s***ty baseball. You're missing some bad, bad baseball. At least we were hitting the ball hard last night.
  8. We haven't made an out on a grounder this game yet, have we?
  9. Haha, this is getting comical now. BTW....Free Donn Pall! We were undefeated with him in the booth.
  10. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:16 PM) After reading some your other posts... it sure wasn't clear to me. Fair enough, my pessimism deserves to not be given the benefit of the doubt. I apologize then.
  11. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:12 PM) That's just sad really. Obviously, some people can't take sarcasm. Anyways, remember what I said about Tampa scoring this inning after we squandered the chance? Our momentum from a great start is officially gone.
  12. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:10 PM) Timo getting picked off likely didn't cost the White Sox any runs. With Konerko striking out, Dye would have had to get a hit to score anymore. Very unlikely. True, but that chances the whole dynamic of the AB for Konerko. It's sad though when we have so little confidence in our 4-5 hitters.
  13. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:08 PM) Cut him! It's only 1 mil, that's not too much in baseball terms. Damn it, I hate him. By the time we would release him (when Frank gets back), he would only be owed about 600-700K. As of now, I'm just rooting for a season-ending injury for Timo.
  14. Every non-Sox fan laughs at the organization for continuing to play Timo.
  15. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:04 PM) Is there any reason why Timo should be kept over Gload or Harris? One good reason? No, there isn't. But since we know Timo is Ozzie's new boyfriend, I'm sure he's not going anywhere.
  16. Pathetic. Hell, we needed a massive break to even score a run after having the first two guys get on base. Any chance that Tampa doesn't get at least one run this inning? They've been answering every run we got this series with some of their own, it seems.
  17. Timo will do 2 or 3 things every game in which you just wish you never have to see him play another game for the White Sox. I hate him more than any player I can remember.
  18. Wow, that was a huge break right there. Rowand needs to get the job done here. No one run innings...we need 2 or 3 here.
  19. Very nice AB by Ozuna there. I have a feeling Ozzie will try and get creative with Timo here.
  20. QUOTE(KWs OK for Me @ May 11, 2005 -> 06:45 PM) AJP has thrown out 7 of 30, I know that catching for Freddy, Contreras, and Hernandez doesn't help him at all, but 7 of 30? That's like 23%, that's awful A.J. rarely has a chance with those guys on the mound. My biggest concern with A.J. is simply catching the ball. He seems to have a hard time catching the ball sometimes, and it's hurt us in a few games. However, this is clearly our best catching tandem in a long, long, long time.
  21. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 11, 2005 -> 06:44 PM) Our pitchers hold runners like our hitters hit line drives. Good, accurate analogy.
  22. QUOTE(mreye @ May 11, 2005 -> 06:38 PM) Why? This lineup can't win? Why watch? Why are you reading the play by play here if you already know the outcome? Of course this lineup can win....but it's a case of a manager having absolutely no clue how to adjust a lineup when he doesn't have regulars in the game. Under no circumstance should Timo Perez ever be leading off or batting 5th. I don't care if he hits 4 homers today, that's not a good managerial decision.
