  1. Good job Uribe, at least we scored one. I can't believe they didnt throw him an offspeed pitch.
  2. With 2 strikes, all he has to do is throw an offspeed pitch, and Uribe with K easily.
  3. Worst AB of the season for Widger there. I have a bad feeling we're not scoring this inning.
  4. QUOTE(fathom @ May 30, 2005 -> 08:23 PM) 2nd inning off to bad start. Buehrle just walked Molina, who's walked 4 times this season coming into the AB. Good job by Buehrle to get out of the inning without allowing a run.
  5. 2nd inning off to bad start. Buehrle just walked Molina, who's walked 4 times this season coming into the AB.
  6. We've now scored in the first inning one time in the last 10 games. That's a huge difference from how we were jumping on teams earlier in the season.
  7. All I know is this......Widger better be playing!
  8. Someone needs to tell the Rangers to get off the roids then. With the way they jacked the ball around the park this week, it makes you wonder how any pitcher is able to keep them down when they're home.
  9. QUOTE(ChiSoxFan @ May 30, 2005 -> 12:55 AM) *Ahem*. Don't know your White Sox history, eh? What was the nickname of that 1906 group? And for the record, 4 guys in that lineup were over .245. Great, we're comparing our offense with that of a dead ball era offense.
  10. Shingo is done with. Even in the innings lately where he didn't allow runs, which helped lower his ERA, he was barely surviving. He's definitely not someone we can count on to get an out.
  11. QUOTE(I-HATE-CREDE @ May 29, 2005 -> 09:37 PM) This offense is hampered with way too many automatic outs, not least of which is Joe Crede. When is this experiment going to end? The man has a career OBP of .302. I think Paco Martin's was higher, what is he up to these days? That's the best (and some might say only) point you've made on this site so far.
  12. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 29, 2005 -> 09:34 PM) Were 16-10 in the month of May Yet, we've won 9 of our last 19 games. Not exactly going in the right direction then, are we?
  13. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 29, 2005 -> 09:28 PM) I just cannot stand this doom and gloom attitude around here anymore, its ridiculous. And no one seemed to respond to my post about the Sox playing at the .750 clip all season. Arent we also know playing below .500 for our last 19 games? Another stretch like that, and we'll be in 2nd place.
  14. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 29, 2005 -> 09:28 PM) I just cannot stand this doom and gloom attitude around here anymore, its ridiculous. And no one seemed to respond to my post about the Sox playing at the .750 clip all season. For me personally, I don't have the gloom and doom because we lost a single game, etc. It has a lot more to do with the long run, in which I don't see how we can consistently win enough games to stay ahead of the Twins without changes made to our offense. Even if we would have won today's game 3-1, it wouldn't have changed my long term belief about this team's chances this season.
  15. QUOTE(I-HATE-CREDE @ May 29, 2005 -> 09:25 PM) Sorry, but this guy attacked me right off the bat, probably on the basis of my screen name. Yes, but doesn't mean you have to ask in a similar way in which you "perceive" he treated you. You honestly didn't think that everyone would think it was the greatest name of all time, did you? OMIT TIMO would have been a much better name.
  16. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 29, 2005 -> 09:24 PM) You said we looked like we were swinging whiffle ball bats. I said we had 18 hits in two games. The Rangers O beat up on are pitching, no where did I say they didnt. All you mentioned was hitting, and I brought up 18 hits. It was a figure of speech. Fair enough, I understand your opinion though. Lets just be thankful for Halladay today, or else it would have been the smallest 2.5 lead in history.
  17. QUOTE(I-HATE-CREDE @ May 29, 2005 -> 09:20 PM) This guy Tony is a real idiot. He thinks the Sox offense is hitting on all cylinders....as thier record spins slowly back to .500. Seriously, stop with the name calling and acting stupid.
  18. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 29, 2005 -> 09:18 PM) We had 18 hits in the 2 games. I wouldn't go that far, but I wouldn't expect anything else out of you. Nice to see you treating people with respect. Just because someone has a difference of opinion, doesn't mean they're not a Sox fan or don't know baseball. The Rangers hit 7 homers in the series, compared to one homer by us. We got our ass kicked, plain and simple.
  19. It's one thing to lose both games to the Rangers....but it's another to look like you didn't even deserve to be playing on the same field as them. Hell, it looked like they were swinging aluminum bats, and we were swinging with wiffle ball bats.
  20. The only person who consistently hits the ball hard is......Chris Widger
  21. QUOTE(I-HATE-CREDE @ May 29, 2005 -> 09:09 PM) Are you sure you're watching the Chicago White Sox? I'm sorry, but only Everett hitting two hard hit balls at the Angels were the times during our recent road trip where I felt we might have deserved the hit. Our hitting was pathetic this week, no other way to state it. We don't hit the ball hard at all.
  22. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 29, 2005 -> 09:01 PM) Minnesota's offense has mastered bloop hitting for three straight years. I've becomed used to witnessing it. Bloop hits will occur more when you dont try and pull every f***ing pitch. Nearly every bloop by the Rangers went towards the opposite field. Coincidence?
  23. QUOTE(JimH @ May 29, 2005 -> 09:00 PM) I was thinking the same thing. He might last this week, until El Duque comes off the DL which doesn't have to be until Friday. Walker gets sent down for Frank, if Gload comes up I can't see them keeping Perez over Harris at this point. Harris has been decent and he's been doing the job spelling for Iguchi. By no means am I a fan of Harris....but if he gets sent down, and Timo stays.....Ozzie deserves to be punched in the f***ing mouth.
