  1. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ May 4, 2005 -> 01:56 AM) Anderson is not a strikeout pitcher...unless you stand there and don't swing. As you know, Anderson was no longer in the game. Instead, it was Wood, who Crede didn't look very comfortable against.
  2. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ May 4, 2005 -> 01:52 AM) But, if Crede swings at the pitch right down the middle, and god forbid gets a hit, you might have AJ on 3rd. Based on the aggressiveness of AJ there, I highly doubt his intentions were to steal a base there. Yes, but you know if Crede strikes out there, it's a guaranteed double play. A.J. wasn't even half way to 2nd base when the throw got there it seemed. If A.J. was running better, then it wouldnt be as peculiar of a move.
  3. That pitch Crede took was a high sinker. He could have hit it a long way......even though he probably would have just popped it up.
  4. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ May 4, 2005 -> 01:49 AM) Well Crede could have done something besides stare at a strike. Yes, but A.J. can't run a LICK right now.
  5. That's the difference between being aggressive....and just being stupid. Now, we dont have our main base stealer leading off next inning.
  6. Come on, what the f*** is that Ozzie? That's just being stupid.
  7. Carlos Lee just gave the Brewers a 2-1 lead over the Cubs!
  8. Why does it seem like a lot of our guys aren't even swinging with authority tonight?
  9. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 4, 2005 -> 01:41 AM) I totally agree. Aaron hits lefties well. Mike Wood comes on for Anderson. And Everett is pretty bad against lefty pitching. His approach isn't good from that side.
  10. More material for my campaign to get Rowand in the 3 hole against lefties. I can't see any reason why not. Rowand is great against lhp.
  11. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 4, 2005 -> 01:38 AM) Every season it seems we have the: "The Sox need to beat the weaker teams" saga. Everyone is going to have an off-night, but if we ever want to compete with the back-to-back-to-back AL Central Division champs, we are going to have to get the W's against the team's we should be beating. The Twins destroy teams like KC. That's why we have so much trouble hanging with them.
  12. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 4, 2005 -> 01:36 AM) We got f***ed against Sarloos. How did we get f***ed? When he was in the game, we kept hitting into double plays and not once did we try to create something offensively by putting a runner in motion. The Crede thing sucked, but we still would have needed a base hit to get a run in.
  13. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ May 4, 2005 -> 01:32 AM) Most of our team appears to be in that mode. There have been some horrible swings on Anderson tonight. Thing is, Anderson, to put it lightly, sucks. We lost to some crappy starters in the last week, especially Saarloos and Robertson. Both games, like tonight, we just played station to station and got some poor at bats from our big guys.
  14. Konerko has got to get away from trying to pull every single pitch.
  15. I'll say this every game against a lefty until it changes: Everett should not be hitting 3rd.
  16. If you get two players picked off on the same play, you don't deserve to win the game. That was our only real sustained threat in this game besides for the quick 2 run blast by Iguchi.
  17. QUOTE(quickman @ May 4, 2005 -> 01:24 AM) Buerhle has been s*** the last two games. Somethign is not right. Why was Cotts warming up? I assume Buerhle went to ozzie and told him something. Cotts was probably just getting some work in.
  18. If we can only score 2 runs against Anderson, we don't deserve to win. Anderson has been throwing just as much junk as Buehrle has been.
  19. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ May 4, 2005 -> 01:21 AM) WTF Mark, why are you even giving Sweeney pitches to hit? I swear that Ozzie is more scared of facing Matt Stairs than he is of Mike Sweeney.
  20. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ May 4, 2005 -> 01:19 AM) Based on how he hits us, is there a hitter in the bigs that you like to see less than Mike Sweeney? He's not the best out there, but he absolutely kills us. And we always let him beat us.
  21. Ah, the old lazy pop up to the right side. I used to call that the "Graffanino special"
  22. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ May 4, 2005 -> 01:16 AM) With the exception of Gooch and Dye, our offense looks clueless tonight. Crede and A.J. have awful bat speed right now. I know they're both banged up, but they're barely getting the bat through the zone.
  23. Like I was saying, way to come close to hitting a homer Iguchi!
