  1. QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 01:21 AM) No s***, even though were still winning its really sad. I wish they could just start putting some doubles and singles together. This group of players aren't a collective bunch of real good hitters. Rather, we have a couple of power guys in PK and Dye, who have provided a lot of our power. Iguchi is swinging the bat great right now, as he's not swinging for the fences. With Pods struggling so much to get on base (and getting caught stealing when he does reach), Iguchi's not getting a lot of chances to drive people in.
  2. Blum has a very deceptive 1 for 10 this year!
  3. Needless to say, we're relying on the homer a lot these days.
  4. Is it me, or does Pineiro not have anything on his pitches? He used to have such electric stuff. Now, he's no better than a mediocre MLB starter.
  5. Stay hot AJP! That ball sure took off. The Cell is definitely playing small these days.
  6. Either PK's going homer tonight, or he's going to have a tough night sleeping tonight. He's popped up two hangers so far tonight.
  7. QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 01:08 AM) What about that strike Ozzie got tossed for with Dye? I wasn't really watching it since I was on the phone, was is that bad? Ha, that pitch Ozzie got ejected for on Dye looked like a strike. I think Ozzie got tossed to try and pump up the team, not because he thought the pitch was that far out of the zone. This pitch was not even close to being a borderline pitch.
  8. Good job of limiting them to one run. I'm still not sure why they held Ibanez at 3rd base on that single. Lets get that run back!
  9. Thank you umpire. That wasn't even close to a strike. That's as bad of a call I've seen all year.
  10. PK could take some notes with that swing by Beltre with RISP.
  11. No one holding him on at 2nd? He sure made that look easy.
  12. Good pitch there on the first and the third pitches of the AB. Thankfully, he didn't swing at the 2nd pitch! Anyways, nice to see Garcia making an adjustment with Sexson.
  13. Here comes trouble. Maybe Sexson will be bunting?
  14. Garcia's going to have to make some good pitches this inning, with his nemesis up here.
  15. Oh boy, here we go again. Please, no retaliation tonight!
  16. Pods always seems to hit better when he actually tries to hit the ball hard, instead of just placing it on the infield. Nice to see him on base....hopefully he doesn't get caught stealing going to 3rd.
  17. Indians now have 9 hits in an inning, with only one out.
  18. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 12:44 AM) Actually he had a better May then April and he's been pretty solid in July as well. June was a real bad month for him but that's it. Yeah, we faced the Padres when he was slumping, and he looked real bad. He's just pressing right now, and like I said earlier, his swing is really long. He's been much better in the field than I thought he'd be.
  19. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 12:39 AM) Actually I'm a Padres fan too, and he sucked there as well. He is a very streaky hitter, he hasn't been on one since the beginning of the year. Didn't he have an unreal stretch this season where he was like 8-8?
  20. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 12:36 AM) Blum sure looks like he can hit :rolly My observation, as if it means anything, is that his swing is WAY too long right now.
  21. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 12:36 AM) Dr. Pain told ozzie that it's not to serious and Carl will probably just need a few days off. That's good. I think it might have been you that said it, but for everyone that was complaining about Everett.....the other options behind him are much worse.
  22. BTW, any word on how long Everett is out? If it's going to be an extended period, we need to call up another hitter. Our bench is extremely thin right now.
  23. The Indians just had 14 bases out of 5 batters to lead off the 6th inning. They lead 3-1 now.
  24. Joel's hanging a lot of offspeed pitches. PK and Crede have had good swings against him, just a little quick.
