  1. The biggest loss tonight isn't the game, but Uribe's potential groin injury. If he's out for any length of time, we're really going to have a dropoff at that position.
  2. QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 05:09 AM) Ozzie didn't make a mistake by sending Buehrle back out there. He's supposed to be our ace. He didn't act like it tonight. Yes, but going into the 7th inning against two righty batters, don't you think maybe it's time to call it a night for the pitcher, and let your supposed great bullpen get the last 9 outs of the game for you?
  3. If we lose this game, I'd rather we lose the way it looks we might instead of having Shingo blow a save. A game like the Indians late inning homer onslaught got to me more than this game will. We have a early game tomorrow, so hopefully our players want to get this game out of our system.
  4. QUOTE(bigred3535 @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 05:06 AM) Dye made a great play last night to save extra-bases in his defense. But Willie has no redeemable plays to defend him this year. Let's face it, he should have been cut in Spring Training and the Sox should have kept Valdez, except Ozzie got attached to Willie and so did KW, which sucks. Maybe the Cubs will take him off our hands, since they need infield help badly right now. Oh well, at least the inning's over. C'mon Sox, put some more runs on the board. Fantastic point made about having Valdez instead of Harris. I don't have a lot of confidence in Ozuna being able to play SS if Uribe goes on the DL.
  5. QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 05:04 AM) THIS GAME NEEDS MUCH MORE TIMO. Thanks buddy for making me laugh. I'm sure we'll see Timo tonight somehow, someway.
  6. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 05:02 AM) You know what you guys are absolutely right, lets get a new f***in taem. These guys f***in suck lets get rid of all these ass holes. They're 16 and 5 can you believe this f***in s***. What a bunch of f***in losers. :headshake So we're not allowed to rip on guys that drop routine flyballs or guys that let weak little grounders go right under their glove?
  7. QUOTE(bigred3535 @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 05:01 AM) I absolutely and unequivocally hate Willie Harris right now. This inning should be over. Everyone's played badly tonight, but Willie Harris shall take the brunt of my aggression. Willie didn't have a play on that grounder. The bases would have still been loaded, so I'm not going to blame Willie for losing this game. I hope Ozzie and Dye go out and get drunk tonight, and are too hungover to play tomorrow.
  8. Willie Harris is an absolute mental dumbass. He tries to act like hot s***, but when he's between the lines, he has his head up his ass.
  9. I'd rather see Chris Widger as a reliever than Harris playing SS. The funny thing is that I guarantee you that he would have thrown that ball away trying to get Durazo at 1b.
  10. Unreal. We better call up a SS immediately if Ozuna and Uribe can't go tomorrow. I almost feel bad for Willie, he shouldn't be playing SS in the majors.
  11. QUOTE(whitesoxeducator @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 04:52 AM) what a cunundrum we got here: sox lose- all ozzies fault sox win- still ozzies fault since we barely won I like to think of it as winning despite Ozzie. I don't think any of us would be complaining on here if he let Vizcaino or Marte start the 7th inning.
  12. This is honestly funny when you think about it. After all the breaks we've made and created this season, to have nearly everything go wrong that possibly can is very ironic.
  13. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 04:42 AM) Froemming or whatever has been absolute s*** behind home plate tonight. f***ing terrible job. What did he mess up that inning? That pitch to Rowand was a strike, and a great pitch to hit. Rowand out-guessed himself.
  14. Nice swing by Dye there. It would be great if he started going the opposite way down in the count like he always seemed to do against us in the past.
  15. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 04:37 AM) You would be b****ing if the Sox were 20-0 right now. :headshake Don't you have Ozuna to promote some more? I don't want to make this a pissing contest, but you've sure been quiet tonight compared to last night when Ozuna was doing good.
  16. QUOTE(whitesoxeducator @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 04:34 AM) im sure you all could do a better job than ozzie, so why are you all here? don't you people have 31 other teams to coach? No offense, but that's the lamest f***ing comeback in these types of arguments. I guarantee you that there'are a TON of people that could do a better job than a lot of the managers in MLB. If you honestly think that letting Buehrle start that inning against two righties was a smart decision, then I don't know what to say.
  17. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 04:32 AM) Did you even see the play? Hatteberg stepped out of the box. It was a horrible call by the ump. :rolly Umpire didn't call timeout. If he did, then it would have been a terrible call. However, just cause a player steps out, doesn't mean you can break your hands like that from the stretch.
  18. QUOTE(rcpweiner @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 04:31 AM) This is a joke, right? I mean ... it seems like you're blaming the balk on Ozzie ... No, I'm blaming Ozzie for letting Buehrle start that inning when he had been lucky to survive 5 innings in this game.
  19. QUOTE(thomsonmi @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 04:29 AM) I'm sorry but given the way we are playing as a team I find that opinion moronic. You have a right to that opinion but I also have a right to think your opinion is stupid. We've gone from a station to station team with bad pitching and poor defense to the complete opposite and so far so good. And, clearly Ozzie was the guy pushing for the change. And, every game there is situation after situation like runners moving with the count full and one out, hit and run plays, and various things. Here's the one thing I want to see from my manager on a consistent basis: Put the team in the best chance to succeed that game. Yes, there will be games where the other team hits a big 3 run homer or the other pitcher throws a gem. However, I do have a problem with the manager obviously lets his team down with his decisions on lineups and pitching strategies/bullpen use.
  20. Another f***ing balk. Third time now. You have to be f***ing careful in those situations.
