  1. Great defense by our reserves that inning. I'm so happy we have 4 bench guys playing in the field today. Feels almost like a spring training game where only half of the team travels.
  2. God damn Willie. He got away with being lazy on a grounder a few innings ago, and did the same thing there.
  3. Like I said before the game, I can't stand our 3rd game of the series lineup. Unbelievable amount of below average players on the field at one time is never a good thing.
  4. Can we please release Timo? He's just a terrible player.
  5. Bautista has it in cruise control right now. We stopped being patient, and his stuff is too good to just swing at everything.
  6. Anyone else feel like we need to implement more hit and runs, etc? We're now on our 4th straight game of not hitting a homer. Yet, we get a leadoff single by Willie, and the only time he tries to steal is on a 3-2 pitch with one out.
  7. Timo is sooooooo slow. He's even slower with less range in the outfield this season than he was last season.
  8. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 05:26 PM) Prediction of the Day: Derrick Brooks will be one of the starting OLB's for the Bears on opening day. Has there been any rumors of this kind?
  9. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 05:39 PM) Ramon Martinez was very very good back in his days with the Dodgers. I'd take him in his prime (healthy) over anyone on this current staff aside from Mark Buehrle. Classics had on Ramon's 18 strikeout game last year. He had amazing stuff and just terrific control. If he didn't have some serious injury problems, I think he could have had a HOF career like Pedro has had.
  10. McPherson is basically a Brooks clone. A great potential pick by the Saints there.
  11. Orton was a product of Purdue's offense. In games where the opposition took away the short pass, he was bad. I just think that in the 4th round, you should pick guys who can develop into big time players, and not be likely career back-ups. A guy like McPherson would have given us another dimension. I would have much rather seen Mike Williams, J.J. Arrington, and McPherson instead of Benson, Bradley, and Orton. The Currie pick has been our best value pick so far.
  12. Pod Harris Konerko (DH) Gload (1b) Rowand Timo Uribe Widger Crede I hate Ozzie's approach to the 3rd game of a series. There's no problem playing reserves, but you don't need to play them all in the same game. You don't see other teams doing this against us.
  13. QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 05:26 PM) There are a handful of QB's more talented than Orton that went after him. Orton sucks. He has absolutely no upside, and I'm not sure he's any better than Krenzel (which is almost impossible to believe).
  14. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 05:17 PM) Did Losman go to Clemson? For some reason I thought he went somewhere else. Tulane for Losman
  15. Currie is a very solid pick. I'd say he's a better all-around WR than M. Bradley is.
  16. Shazor is listed as a safety on yahoo. Is he projected to be an OLB in the NFL?
  17. Bautista has been bad his last two starts though.
  18. I'm fully expecting a crazy lineup from Ozzie today. My prediction is: LF- Pods 2b- Harris DH- Everett 1b- Gload RF- Perez CF- Rowand SS- Uribe C- Widger 3b- Crede
  19. The more I read about Benson's past, the more I dislike him. Seems like he would have got in a lot more trouble if he wasn't a superstar athlete, and the preferential treatment that comes with being that.
  20. Don't like seeing any of our relievers being used for 2 innings. Is Ozzie that scared of Stairs that he'd keep a lefty in to face Sweeney just so he could face Stairs after it?
  21. Yikes, not a good AB by Crede. Is it Shingo time? 2-3-4 up for KC.
