f***ing awesome! I love how we just kept our foot on their throats, and are going for the kill this inning. In years past, we would have stopped scoring after the first.
-
I can't believe PK scored on that after he paused to make sure it went by. Lopez has some of the worst stuff I've seen in a long time tonight.

QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 12:52 AM) That comment in particular was not a problem, no. Ok, just wanted to make sure. I'm trying to ease up a little bit on here.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 12:52 AM) Yes. Crede made a mistake. s*** happens. Of course it does. You don't see me saying we should get rid of him. However, it was still a very poor play, and cost us a run.
-
QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 12:49 AM) Eat it negative people!! Please tell me you didn't take offense to me saying that Crede had a lot more time on that play than he acted like? I wasn't sure what your "ok, oh man" meant. I didn't think it was a "f***ers" thing that I said.
-
Great to see a Sox starter pitch over an error. Seems like it's been a long time since that happened.
-
What the hell was Crede doing there? He had all the time in the world. Garcia needs to get out of this inning now!
-
QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 12:34 AM) the best thing about the end of that inning: Timo won't be up for another 8 batters I was hoping you'd say Timo pulled a hamstring running the bases.
-
QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 12:34 AM) 44 f***ing pitches for Lopez I'd rather he stay in the game longer. He has nothing on his pitches tonight.
-
Only Timo could piss me off in a 5 run inning. Shut them down this inning Garcia.
-
These have been some amazing ABs. Timo better not double-dip!
-
Who hits the first inning homer against Garcia?

QUOTE(Princess Dye @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 11:56 PM) is 40 points higher than Uribe's? Juan has the power, but i wouldnt mind seeing Blum get some time at SS. someone who can get a walk.... that would actually help us get closer to being the small-ball team we're purported to be Blum isn't a SS. He doesn't have the vertical quickness to play the position. He's best suited to play 3b.

QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 11:54 PM) I don't have a problem with Pods sits. We will need his legs down the stretch and are up 14 games as of now. Timo has been swinging a good bat lately, but oy ve. Ozzie probably didn't want AJ playing a night game than a day game again, like he did on Fri/Sat. Still have Everett, Kong, Dye, and Rowand in the middle. Trust me, I'm not complaining about giving these guys a rest. However, I just think a lot of us thought it should be against the lefty pitcher tomorrow. Oh well, b****ing about it is not going to change Ozzie's decision. BTW, I'm predicting a meltdown on here if we don't have a good offensive showing and lose tonight.
-
The Indians are tied with the Twins now. With the Indians schedule, I think they're a more legit threat than the Twins now.
-
Anyone else confused why we sent down 2 players today, but we're only going to have one up on the team tonight? Might as well have kept one of them on the team tonight, in case we need them off the bench.
-
QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 11:24 PM) not too sure about this either. guess since we have an early start tommorow just trying to get some rest. Better off just resting Pods and AJP tomorrow against Chen. I guess this is the old "Sunday" lineup.
-
Timo leading off? I don't like benching Pods and AJP with the Sox facing a lefty tomorrow. Makes no sense to me.

QUOTE(jamslam @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 10:35 PM) Gload is 2 years away and Harris blows, sure let's put adkins in the pen 2 years away from what, getting a senior citizen discount at Denny's?

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 11:03 PM) 8.1 IP is not a chance. For some managers, it is. I agree with you that he hasn't had an opportunity to show what he can contribute at the MLB level. However, I'll be shocked if he does get an opportunity in the Sox organization.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 10:10 PM) Could you imagine the outrage on this board if KW packaged Gload and Baj in a deal? People, they aren't that good. Could you imagine the outrage on here if that would have been Willie that made that error against the Royals, and not Gload? I never understood why everyone said Gload was the best defensive 1b ever. Yes, he didn't have the chance to prove himself. However, he never did anything that made me think we had another J.T. Snow on our hands. And Baj had his chance last year, and he failed. Yes, it sucks for him. However, it's clear the organization doesn't think highly of him.

QUOTE(103 mph screwball @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 08:38 PM) Didn't the Sox put out a press release that Blum only move made. Tracy thing did not happen. I'm not saying that Josh didn't hear it I just think it was a mistake by the radio guys. I hope I'm wrong. I read somewhere else that they said Tracy was on SD. That makes me think they meant Blum.

QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 08:37 PM) I wouldn't even say that. None of his stats are overwhelmingly better than Hairston's. And Hairston is probably better in the field. I think Lawton is an upgrade, but not a "major" upgrade. Hairston doesn't play LF! He's their CF. Lawton will be taking over for Hollandsworth, Murton, and Gerut in the outfield. I say that's a major upgrade over those guys (yes, I know Murton's average is high, but it's been all broken bats and infield hits so far).

Looks like the trade for Guardado is bulls***.
