  1. I'd like to officially say that Keith Foulke is done with. He just blew another game for the Red Sox. His ERA is 7 now, and his fastball is in the 85mph range. Reminds me of someone else I know.
  2. QUOTE(quickman @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:58 PM) So true fathom, our attitude changes with the inning ..the batter. its normal stuff for passionate fans Thing is, the Sox could win 20 games in a row, but if we then lost a game in which we should have won, but there were dumb decisions made by the players or manager, then I'm going to be negative about the game. If we clinch the AL Central with a month left to go, I promise you won't hear a single negative word out of my mouth (unless Ozzie overuses the pitchers).
  3. Exactly what we need Duque. Lets keep the quality AB going here.
  4. QUOTE(quickman @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:53 PM) its a board, they can post anytime they want, life is not full of sunshine. I would rather have someone with an atitude than nothign at all. Sox fans are completely different than Cub fans. Steff you are invested in this club, you know people and you like it like that. I don't nor do I care to know the players. Just win, just play hard. The thing is, it's a gamethread. Look at any gamethread on any other site. There's going to be a lot of positive and negative posts during nearly every single game. I'm fairly confident that we're all Sox fans on here.
  5. Something we can all agree on.....El Duque, please don't allow them to score this inning!
  6. QUOTE(traydragen @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:53 PM) I was just thinking that exact same thing LosBlancas. Well, they did hit back-to-back homers in the 2nd game of the season against Wickman to tie the game.
  7. Thank you Lou Pinella for leaving Brazelton out there to die.
  8. Excellent swing by Konerko there. Finally, someone just went with the pitch and lined it to the opposite field. Well done PK.
  9. I'm going to cry if I see a routine flyout by PK here.
  10. Even though Iguchi hit that ball hard, not sure he shouldn't have been taking there?
  11. QUOTE(KWs OK for Me @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:41 PM) And Timo walks, see he can do something positive . . . occasionally I'll wait to see his baserunning this inning before I comment on that
  12. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:40 PM) Have there been ANY ground outs? It seems like they're using the Joe Crede 2003 Pop-Up Edition Bats. I believe that was the first ball that the infield even touched before.
  13. Great speed by Ozuna there. It was very close to being a collision.
  14. PATHETIC! Who wants to start a Fire Greg Walker thread?
  15. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:33 PM) Hate to break it to you but Morneau is a f***ing stud. Sure hes no young Frank, but hes just as good as Frank currently is now Morneau is easily a better hitter than Frank right now, even if Frank is healthy. Nothing against Frank, but Morneau is one of the premiere power hitters in the AL now.
  16. Aren't the Sox like 2 for 30 with the bases loaded this year? I know A.J. had that clutch blooper against Tampa, and Timo had that bunt hit with them loaded earlier this year.
  17. QUOTE(Y2HH @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:25 PM) We have been dominated this entire series by a group of pitching BUMS. :banghead Meanwhile...Minnesota keeps winning, even against good teams, while we have the opportunity to take an easy series from a BAD team and can't do it. Wow...this seems to happen every year. Oh, I forgot, it's almost June, we are supposed to give the Twins the division lead by then. The Twins beat the s*** out of this same Tampa team last series. With Morneau back, their offense is extremely dangerous. If their relief keeps up their incredible year, I'm not sure how any team in the AL Central will keep up with them.
  18. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:25 PM) Allow me to be pessimistic for a moment... Sounds like we're playing some s***ty baseball. You're missing some bad, bad baseball. At least we were hitting the ball hard last night.
  19. We haven't made an out on a grounder this game yet, have we?
  20. Haha, this is getting comical now. BTW....Free Donn Pall! We were undefeated with him in the booth.
  21. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:16 PM) After reading some your other posts... it sure wasn't clear to me. Fair enough, my pessimism deserves to not be given the benefit of the doubt. I apologize then.
  22. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:12 PM) That's just sad really. Obviously, some people can't take sarcasm. Anyways, remember what I said about Tampa scoring this inning after we squandered the chance? Our momentum from a great start is officially gone.
  23. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:10 PM) Timo getting picked off likely didn't cost the White Sox any runs. With Konerko striking out, Dye would have had to get a hit to score anymore. Very unlikely. True, but that chances the whole dynamic of the AB for Konerko. It's sad though when we have so little confidence in our 4-5 hitters.
