  1. Nuke......I'll gladly eat crow if this holds up!
  2. Watching Crede this season, it amazes me that they've never tried a different loading mechanism for his swing. He's having a terrible time getting the bat through the zone. Why not try a leg kick or timing mechanism like Sosa used?
  3. A.J. just hitting some rockets tonight. Best thing is that he's also avoiding hitting into weak double plays, something that really plagued him last season.
  4. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 12:46 AM) I TOLD YOU STATHEADS TIMO IS f***ING CLUTCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But wouldn't you think he'd be more useful being used as a pinch-hitter in clutch situations?
  5. I know there's few people on this threat tonight, but am I the only one not impressed with the Twins at all this year? I don't even care if I jinx the Sox tonight, I'm not impressed with the guys they've called up to replace their old starters. Bartlett looks like someone who you can jam whenever you want. Losing Silva will be a massive loss for them.
  6. Wow, good pitch by Garland. Not sure what Crede was thinking, Lecroy was very close to the base when he went after him. Lets get a grounder Jon....and he does!
  7. We should intentionally walk Ford here. Cuddyer is a definite double play threat.
  8. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 12:36 AM) Dude. Chill the hell out. It's tied. Nuke, when their pitcher is mowing down our offense, and Garland has been known for his meltdowns, you don't have to be a genius to realize that the Sox chances are not great in a tied game. The Twins have a tremendous bullpen, so if they get a run this inning or the next, we're in a lot of trouble.
  9. 11 in a row retired by Radke. I'm not exactly confident that we're going to pull this game out, especially with Rincon and Nathan lurking.
  10. Yes, this umpire has the smallest strike zone I've ever seen. It hasn't really hurt us yet.
  11. What type of odds can I get that Garland and Crede won't be on the Sox next year? I would say there's a 80 pct chance of neither of them being with the team next year, and I wouldn't be upset about that at all.
  12. Was I the only one who thought that was a routine flyball off Stewart's bat?
  13. Garland's inability to strike out a batter is pathetic!
  14. That's a play that Crede should have made. He overdove it.
  15. A.J.'s doing a fantastic job of pitch calling and especially, location.
  16. Man, no one on the Sox gets on my nerves more than Timo. He just seems like such an easy out in the games that he starts.
  17. Santana vs anyone makes the Twins the favorite. I would rather not have Garcia go on 3-days rest, especially after some of the forearm problems he had last season. I think Garland might be able to go tomorrow night, especially with it being a night game. I'm just happy we won last night, because I was concerned about the pitching matchups this wknd.
  18. Wow, tremendous swing by Rowand! Talk about just dropping the barrel on the ball!
  19. Ozzie....repeat after me: Paul Konerko is our best hitter, and is not a bad defensive player. I do not have to take him out for defensive purposes every time the Sox lead at the end of the game.
  20. Cuddyer sure has less range at 3b than Koskie did. Also, it looks like Bartlett is going to bloop us to death this season.
  21. Wow, great AB by Konerko! Great to see him keep that ball fair, especially against a pitcher he's struggled against.
  22. Anyone else concerned about our offense? Seems like we're going to struggle mightily against righty starters. If we're counting on Konerko, Rowand and Uribe to match what they did last year, we're in a lot of trouble.
  23. QUOTE(rudylaw @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:59 AM) Where is the small ball? why can't we move runners along? I was thinking the same thing. The way Ozzie has configured the lineup, he still isn't implementing the lineup to best use the speed. Rather, he has Everett, Konerko, and Dye together (aren't going to do anything special with those guys in terms of manufacturing). Then, he has A.J. and Crede back-to-back near the bottom.
