  1. What the f*** was that? It's the 6th inning in a tied game, not the time to try something like that.
  2. Konerko's getting the day off tomorrow. Him and Dye seem to be swinging a toothpick at the plate right now.
  3. This would be a great time for Konerko to get a hold of one. He's been taking too many quality pitches lately.
  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 12:24 AM) That was quick. This one is going to be a battle of the pens, boys. That should be a good thing for us. I disagree. Besides Wickman, the Indians pen has kicked our ass this season. Bettancourt, Riske, Miller, and Rhodes all have looked sharp so far.
  5. Thing is, when Rowand is swinging well, he almost always hits the ball hard against lefties.
  6. Much better swings by Rowand there. Even on the pitch he missed, he showed better form than the chop swing he had lately.
  7. Konerko is just not making solid contact right now. I'm a little worried he's just going to become a home run hitter like Frank became the last few years.
  8. WOW.....you're not going to see a ball overthrown by that much ever again in your life (unless Cade McNown makes a comeback).
  9. Very nice right there! We should do that more with Iguchi....he has a great swing to the opposite field.
  10. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 11:53 PM) Interesting -- the Sox as a team have drawn ten walks in just under 70 innings at the plate... Good stat, I was hoping someone woudl bring it up. I'm very happy with our record right now, but I'm very concerned with our offense. Too many guys are just easy outs compared with other players at their position.
  11. Hawk blames the wildness by Contreras for the reason he allowed runs, but it was his inability to get out the Indians number 9 hitter which accounted for the first of two, 2-out hits.
  12. Wow, I was going to say something about A.J. having his head up his ass tonight....and then that s*** happened. This has been an absolutely pathetic display of intensity so far.....we're lucky it's only 3-0 right now.
  13. Wow, that was a terrible throw by Dye. Even a decent throw would have had Boone out easily at home.
  14. Contreras's arm angle is awful on his pitches right now. It's simply mind-boggling how he can't remain consistent.
  15. Since about the 3rd inning of the Sunday Twins game, our hitters look very lethargic at the plate.
  16. Why in the world would you underhand that ball to Contreras? You have to slide and throw the ball in that situation.
  17. Why are we playing infield in, in the first inning, against a pitcher that we've rocked the last few times we've faced him? f***ing A.J., terrible play there.
  18. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 11:10 PM) What did Rowand hit in the leadoff spot last year? Batting leadoff last year, Rowand batted .319 with an OPS of .976. Batting 2nd, he hit .326 with an OPS of .837.
  19. What did Hawk say about the wind? Is it blowing in or out?
  20. Coco looks like an absolute idiot out there with his hair/hat the way he has it.
  21. If we're going to play Ozuna, he probably shouldn't be leading off. Against a lhp, no reason for Rowand to not be batting in the top 3.
  22. After Podsednik scored earlier in the game, I saw him talking to the trainer. Considering he stayed in the game a few more innings and got that hit, I would expect it's nothing serious.
  23. Hermanson would be the closer today, I'd almost guarantee it.
  24. There we go! Great swing by Podsednik there.
