  1. Do people agree with my belief that Rowand should be batting 3rd against lefties, and Everett should be way down in the lineup? Just wondering if I'm alone on that belief.
  2. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 03:19 AM) We haven't done well with runners in scoring position in a number of games this year. We have sucked when we had runners in scoring position and less than 2 out and with 2 out like Iguchi. I have mixed feeling about Tadpole. I hope he adjusts to MLB pitching soon. Iguchi has got some hits lately, but to be honest, most of them have been seeing-eye hits just out of the reach of the infield. I definitely thought he was going to drive the ball more than he has. I've been happy with him in the field, even with limited range. His soft throws to first base get me nervous, but he's been accurate so far.
  3. Iguchi looks overmatched against Zito. Kinda surprising considering how well he looked against Santana.
  4. Nice to see Ozuna having the proper approach to hit Zito. Maybe Ozuna should be playing in RF for Dye, instead of for Podsednik.
  5. QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 03:05 AM) That is the first time I have seen Ozuna throw all year if I were an opposing coach I would run on him all day. His arm is much better than Podsednik.
  6. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 03:01 AM) I was thinking the same thing, He Gawn. Right now, our lineup sucks. And no way will Ozzie do it unless we lose like 3 in a row. The lineup right now should be: Pods, Iguchi, Rowand, PK, Crede, Everett, Dye, A.J., Uribe against a lefty pitcher
  7. Holy s*** is our 3-4-5 pathetic right now. Danny Wright could get them out.
  8. Leadoff walk by Garland to the number 8 hitter.
  9. QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 02:42 AM) I didn't like the decision to have Ozuna bunt. Way too early in the game to start playing for one run. Especially after the leadoff walk/hbp, you're just bailing out the pitcher from a potential big inning. However, it's the way Ozzie's going to manage, and as long as they keep winning, it won't change.
  10. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 02:38 AM) It's 0-0 after 2 IP. As some would say Garland was lucky to pitch 2 scoreless innings this game. :rolly He's on his way to his 17th good start over his last 23. I wouldn't be so fast to say Garland's going to have a good start. Lets hope he does, but in the past, you know how often he's just "lost it".
  11. Everett should try batting lefty against Zito. Looks just terrible against the lefty pitcher.
  12. Quick note: I watched Zito's last game against the Mariners, and he got rocked in the first inning because Seattle made him throw strikes. I'm not sure we're patient enough to take that approach.
  13. If you notice my post from the earlier Dye-d thread, Dye just followed the same pattern on that at-bat that he's been doing all year. Take first pitch fastball for strike, and then on the 2 strike pitch, he's chasing anything within 5 feet of the plate. Just a terrible mental approach.
  14. Garland seems to be throwing a new curveball on the fists of the lefty hitters. He used it tremendously against the Tigers last outing.
  15. Zito wasn't on steroids. Rather, he pitched a ton of innings at an early age in the majors, and his velocity is paying the price for that usage. Same thing has happened to numerous other pitchers.
  16. Against lefty pitching, I really would like to see Rowand batting 3rd. Everett just doesn't have a very good approach against lefties like he does righties.
  17. Zito is also very easy to steal against. Podsednik should be starting every game that he's not injured.
  18. The only reason the Twins announcer probably made the Uribe comment was that Uribe didn't have a very good defensive series against the Tigers. I think he made an error in both games of the series.
  19. What was the cause of the brawl?
  20. My projected lineup for tonight is: LF- Ozuna 2b- Iguchi DH- Everett 1b- Konerko CF- Rowand RF- Dye SS- Uribe C- Widger 3b- Crede
  21. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 07:35 PM) Rivas bobbles, Tigers take the lead, 5-4 Tigers. Minny playing really sloppy, they look a lot different from last season........ Is this game on television? I've looked on the satellite, and can't find it.
