  1. These are some of the worst ABs we've had all season.
  2. This is the inning where we need to get something going. If Pods gets on, we need to put him in motion.
  3. Hawk and DJ just said we're not "winning ugly" this year......anyone else disagree with that statement? I'm thrilled with our record, but it's not like we've been playing beautiful baseball that will amaze an audience.
  4. Hawk and DJ are already making a claim that this guy is a future Cy Young winner, instead of realizing a lot of his success deals with the awful approach our guys have had for far too long this season.
  5. Uribe isn't even close to hitting the ball. Until he starts to go with the pitch to right field, pitchers are going to continue to get him out with slow stuff away.
  6. These guys are not picking up Buehrle's changeup at all. We need to get some more runs though, I have no clue why we can't hit this pitcher hard.
  7. Wow, where was that first pitch to Klesko? Looked to be right down the plate. Maybe Nevin acting like a little b**** helped his teammate out.
  8. DJ basically insulting anyone we could possibly play at DH by saying that we're not missing much playing in an NL park.
  9. The thing that sucks with PK now is that it's not like he's even hitting the ball hard. He's consistently hitting weak grounder to the left side.
  10. Great pitch by Buehrle there though. Way to overcome the bloopers.
  11. Man, we're just asking for trouble by pitching to Nady in this AB.
  12. Pitch around the 8 hitter here to face the pitcher?
  13. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 02:27 AM) If it is just barely out of his range he usually gets it via a slide or dive. I woudnt consider that a lazy fly ball either it wasent a liner, but it wasent a can of corn either. Well, first of all, he's not caught everything that he should have this year. Far too many miscues for Dye in the outfield this season. And just as I type this, another blooper drops in front of Dye. He's been nothing but a disappointment in the outfield this year, no other way to say it.
  14. Well, looks like we let this pitcher find his groove now. 6 easy, easy outs for him after the first two batters. Seems like a common theme with our offense too often this year.
  15. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 02:21 AM) He still gets the balls in his range no matter what! What are you trying to say?
  16. Buehrle needs to be careful with Nevin tonight, especially with Klesko on deck. Nevin is very good against lefties, while Klesko struggles against lefties.
  17. Jermaine Dye has absolutely no range in RF. I'm getting sick of seeing every lazy fly ball hit down the line dropping against the Sox this year.
  18. Stauffer didn't have much on the mound. No excuse for the Sox to not be able to get at least 4 runs against him tonight.
  19. QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 01:30 AM) I think Timo's lost a little on his blowjob. he hasnt been on in a while. Don't worry, as soon as Dye takes an 0 for, Timo will be in the lineup. I'm about ready to predict Timo will play 1b tomorrow.
  20. Take a guy like Klesko last night, who has all 11 of his homers against rhp this season. I would much rather have Cotts face Klesko than Politte.
  21. The Red Sox are setting a record for long fly outs in this game. They've hit the ball to the fence about four times this game without it leaving the Urinal.
  22. I disagree. As Cotts continues to improve with his command, he'll get tougher on lefties. Not only that, but just as there are pitchers who do better against lefty or right hitters, there are hitters who hit better vs rhp or lhp. There are a lot of lefties that struggle mightily against lefty pitching (even Jim Parque could have success on some lefties).
  23. QUOTE(ReinsdorfSucks @ Jun 11, 2005 -> 04:03 AM) OMG. without the gift run we don't f***ing score Well, thankfully we got the gift run. I really hope Ozzie doesn't stick with Cotts too long here if he doesn't have it.
  24. Rowand and Iguchi decided to take the hanging strikes, and swing and the offspeed stuff in the dirt.
