SouthPaw replied to Al Lopez Ghost (old)'s topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Mar 14, 2005 -> 12:35 PM) Problem is both are color guys. They're black? -
QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 09:57 AM) Okay This game cheats... Let me tell you how, I am playing as The Sox and have made trades to make money I Am pitching as Jake Peavy I have a 0-2 Count on Rondell White with a Man on First, and I am up by 2.. I throw a Fastball up and in, out of the stike zone.."ChinMusic" Rondell Somehow manges to hit it 459ft for a HR.. Then 2 innings later Again up by 2 Man on first, 1 out Brandon INge up.. Fouls the first pitch and then watches as 2 goes right by him for the K.. I say to my self..Well this sets up Pudge for a 2-run HR... First pitch Low and inside out of the strikezone. near his cold zone.. 439ft later tie game.. I ended up turning the game off I was pissed, I hit the same pitches and wow they are short rollers to the INF.. I don't know about 2005, but 2004 had a catch up feature to make the games more interesting. Try and look in the options to see if "Catch up" is enabled. BTW, not sure if its actually called catch up, so look for something along those lines.

I would like to join a league this year. -
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 05:30 PM) He always gets cut because he's a f***ing retard, who knows s*** about s***. I hate Woddy Paige. I like Woody Paige because he does not take himself too seriously. I hate watching these sports analysts who think they know everything.

Thats the only way you can look at it now.
-
Yeah I hope I can make it up there also, that would be great to see that stadium with a good percentage of White Sox fans.

QUOTE(TheDybber @ Feb 3, 2005 -> 10:38 AM) Hey John franco, it's your turn!!! My name is John Franco.

I love this poll! -
http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/story/MLB_SC-RUMOR Looks like Maggs had a good meeting with the Tigers.
-
That is a good idea. I'll work on something when I get home.
-
I want to wait and see what Hawk can possibly come up with. Although I do like Gooch. hehe
-
Lets see Torri pull that on A.J.
-
Thats a really cool sig. I have to make myself a new one some time soon. I like mine, but i need change. If the sox can change as much as they did i figure I can do my part. hehe

Washington Nationals sign Esteban Loaiza
SouthPaw replied to Jabroni's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE(farmteam @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 08:16 PM) I dunno though, he won't exactly have the run support of a Major League team. Heck, he might not even have the run support of a Little League team. I donno, I think having Castilla and Guzman will give the team an extra .00235 percentage to their overall run scored average -
It's true

QUOTE(Tannerfan @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 04:30 PM) I only know what I read and hear, but Maggs knee must be in a bad way. I can't beleve a player with his talent and history would'nt have been signed by now unless there is something seriously wrong. Last year I was so upset that The Sox would let such a great player go, and I really didn't believe KW when he said they wanted to resign him. Now as unfortunate as it is I think the Sox did the right thing. Yeah, I'm begining to see that the Sox made the right choice also.
-
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 10:13 AM) I find it hard to believe they won't sign anybody. Even if they miss out on Delgado, they may still try to offload Soriano to the Astros for some good young arms, and use the money they saved on an 1 year incentive laden deal for Ordonez. Well then lets just hope the only blue Maggs will wear is Ranger blue, and not Cubbie blue.
-
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 10:09 AM) With the Mets looking like they'll hang onto Mike Cameron, or end up trading for Eric Byrnes, the only 3 teams I could possibly see still being interested in Maggs are the Orioles, Rangers and Tigers. I'm not a huge Rangers fan or anything, but I would love to see Maggs go there. I think he would have a pretty good chance to win there.

Got this from the CBSSportsline.com rumor mill: It would be great if the sCrUBS get stuck with Sammy and miss out on Maggs....I really don't want to see Magglio in a sCrUBS uniform. Also, it says they saw his medical records and would rather have the combo of Hollandsworth and Dubois. That brings up the question....how bad is Magglio's knee?

A very amusing thread from another board...

haha thats great, we should put that one up

Yeah I agree alos, but it kind of stinks when one team has allstars for every position. If the sox added just one of their big names they would be big favorites to win the central. (i.e Arod) But, then again...the Yanks were also favored to win when they added Arod.... Ok seeing as how i just contradicted myself I will just end this post with a Yankees

I aspire to one day be that good at photoshop. Those are really cool.

Well I fixed my little blunder.
