  1. Max Scherzer's line right now vs Detroit: 8 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 18 SO and 85 strikes on only 106 pitches.
  2. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 9, 2016 -> 11:15 PM) He's gonna hit 35-40 homers, but he's probably not going to hit higher than .250. I'm ok with this.
  3. Todd Frazier is on pace for 49 HR and 133 RBI.
  4. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ May 9, 2016 -> 09:30 AM) I watch and enjoy it. Phil being Phil is starting to get old though. I like the show but Phil being Phil is basically the entire premise of the show, it's annoying.
  5. QUOTE (AJUribe @ May 5, 2016 -> 10:55 PM) Gave Jason a chance, l'm sorry but he sucks. I turn on music now when he announces. Total nerd, makes lame jokes, only positive is stone gives more insight. Heh, no quicker way to show your ass than using the word nerd as a pejorative term these days. So glad we've moved beyond that machismo bulls***.
  6. QUOTE (mmmmmbeeer @ May 6, 2016 -> 10:32 PM) I can only assume you're referring to the funniest thing I've heard out of the Sox broadcast booth in a few years....the buttered 'em up comment. That was absolutely hilarious and Steve's reaction was perfect (because that joke could've just as easily come out of Stoney's mouth). Different strokes for different folks, I guess. It was the most visceral reaction Stone has had since he joined the Sox broadcast. Proved how comfortable and excellent he can be acting as the true color man rather than being a bit player as Hawk dominates the broadcast, minimizing Stone's incredible incite.
  7. Yeah, unless he has strong Giants loyalty or some team goes nuts with thier offer the Sox are definitely signing Lincecum.
  8. QUOTE (South Sider @ May 8, 2016 -> 09:33 PM) I was wondering what Osha and Rickon were up to... really disappointing to see them in Ramsays hands now. Worthless northmen. They'd better not flay or torture Rickon.... but now, as always, there is a Stark in Winterfell again. At least Jon will save him. Would be pretty awesome if Osha and Rickon somehow planned this.
  9. f*** Ollie and RIP Shaggy Dog. And of cooourse they're dragging out ToJ.
  10. Enter the Gungeon is pretty legit, scratches that Binding of Isaac itch nicely.
  11. QUOTE (GreenSox @ May 5, 2016 -> 10:57 PM) And the answer is Trayce Thompson, Avisail Garcia, Marcus Semien. What is name 3 players out-hitting the "elite" Todd Frazier, Alex. But please trade 4 more young players for another proven veteran, Kenny Hahn. Even though it is a proven counterproductive strategy, it gives fans temporary succor and allows them to "dream again" Just one time I'd love to see you actually argue a point rather than making grand statements, I assume you do this for the sole purpose of entertaining yourself? You fail to back up any of your arguments with any real hard evidence, it makes your posts utterly worthless. Anyone can just type words, it's quite easy, it's another thing to actually make them matter. You must really hate it when one of the vets succeeds, I bet it just tears you up inside. Enjoy your bubble of misery.
  12. QUOTE (He Gawn @ May 5, 2016 -> 07:35 PM) What happened? I'm listening to the Boston stream. Called the pick off attempt at 1B when the catcher went to the mound just prior. It's like the 10th time he's done something like that this year, pretty sure all were with Benetti in the booth.
  13. Holy s*** Steve Stone is unreal at his job.
  14. Uncharted 4 getting very good reviews so far. Went ahead and pre-ordered my copy today, not something I typically do but the Uncharted series is an exception and Naughty Dog lifting the review embargo 5 days in advance is much appreciated. Oh and Amazon's 20% discount on pre-orders to Prime members is a great idea and incentive enough to sway my decision to pull the trigger.
  15. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 5, 2016 -> 01:51 PM) I was a little surprised Gonzalez didn't get the call. I wonder if it had to do with him taking a ball off the face, or if there might have been a problem with how long he has been back at Charlotte. I would think he would have been good to go, but isn't there a time period after you have been sent back until you can be recalled again unless there is an injury? I would think he exceeded that, but maybe not. A player optioned to the minors cannot be recalled for at least 10 days after the demotion, Gonzalez was sent to Charlotte on 4/27 so he's not eligible to be recalled until Saturday, 5/7. Of course if you place a Major League player on the DL during that 10 day span you can recall the guy no problem and the Sox did place Petricka on the DL today.
  16. QUOTE (ron883 @ May 4, 2016 -> 09:34 PM) You'll see, I'm going to be right. Abreu can't lay off the breaking ball outside. I'm going to bump this up when he is in a slump, and I'll bump it at the end of the year when he puts up his worst year yet statistically. You're describing the vast majority of Major League hitters, there's a reason why pitchers rely on the breaking ball low and away, it's an incredibly effective pitch. But you have fun proving everyone wrong.
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 4, 2016 -> 10:20 PM) http://sports.yahoo.com/news/tim-lincecum-...037349-mlb.html Passan would make a great agent for Lincecum. Actually feel a little bit excited about the possibility of the White Sox signing him, if you read that column from start to finish. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/wednesdays-wi...532448-mlb.html Tim Brown arguing for why the SF Giants should bring Lincecum back... All the national writers would. They're being fed bulls*** by Lincecum's agent and running with it. Heyman's tweeting out hype daily.
  18. QUOTE (GreenSox @ May 4, 2016 -> 04:33 PM) You're right...sometimes it's the batting average that takes the 50 point drop instead. From a macro perspective: Ritchie Swisher Samardzija Edwin Jackson (to be fair he was never any better than mediocre; and he was mediocre with the Sox just like with everyone else). Vasquez - see Jackson Dunn Laroche And, dare I suggest, Frazier., so far...hopefully he turns around. But as of now, Trayce is out-hitting him. So is Lawrie, who didn't cost Trayce et al. The only ones that produced were Thome and Garcia and those were still dubious trades (Thome "allowed" KW to get rid of Frank - while produced .100 OPS points less than Thome, we were stuck with Anderson/Mackowiak instead of Rowand; Garcia was a rent...we could have signed him as a FA). Robertson is excellent and several smaller acquisitions have been pure gold. And yet people are convinced that another blockbuster transaction is the golden key. It's madness. Heck, look what happened to the Astros after their acquisition of 2 "Elite" pieces, who suddenly aren't so elite. So at what point are you going to admit that you're flat out wrong about Frazier? I already produced the numbers, yet you seem to be doubling down on your bad opinion.
  19. QUOTE (GreenSox @ May 4, 2016 -> 08:30 AM) Tehran is a mid rotation guy who would help more to get to the playoffs than in the playoffs. That may be his price but it's too much. Such trades of course rarely help and usually cause harm. But that doesn't stop the exuberance for them. Heck no one is even talking about Frazier, the super super slugger, and his Dunn-like output. Probably because everything points to Frazier being very good and not at like Dunn? 9.5% BB% (8.6% average), 19% K% (21.4% average), .233 ISO (.173 average among ML 3B), .200 BABIP (.284 for his career), 3 DRS, 1.3 UZR, 5.5 UZR/150. That's a good baseball player who's been unlucky on balls in play.
  20. White Sox baseball is nerve-racking as all hell and it's f***ing fantastic.
  21. I'm not sure I've ever seen a run quite like Eaton is on right now.
  22. QUOTE (Brian @ May 2, 2016 -> 07:35 PM) Didn't need to see the horse scene. Ha 100% real and sexy.
  23. QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ May 2, 2016 -> 06:35 PM) Nice to see Jian Yang will be sticking around on Silicon Valley. Poor "Eric" Bachman Loved the return of Andy Daly.
  24. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ May 2, 2016 -> 06:26 PM) It's for the best. The guys needed a breather. f*** that. My being entertained is far more important than Todd Frazier taking a rest, he should expire on the field if that is what I require!
  25. Man, f*** off days, this blows.
