Real classy of the White Sox organization to instruct its players to blatantly lie to the fans. f***ing Reinsdorf. -

Matt Lindstrom was just pulled from the game in Cleveland afte facing only one batter. Robin Ventura was seen saying his goodbye's via pat on the back. Trade in the works? #hugwatch -
QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jul 29, 2013 -> 07:42 PM) Hayes just said he's in Cleveland corroborating the Brasil account. Rongey also seemed to confirm it on twitter.

QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 29, 2013 -> 07:36 PM) Dan Hayes @DanHayesCSN 49s #WhiteSox have a contingency in place if they were to trade Jake Peavy: Andre Rienzo is in Cleveland. https://twitter.com/DanHayesCSN So either a.) Hayes is off a bit b.) Rienzo made his way from Charlotte to Cleveland in the past hour or c.) Andre is a dirty, filthy liar. -

You can pretty much say anything on Twitter and people will believe you, so long as you have a semi-news-oriented twitter handle. -
Original tweet: MLB Brasil @MLBBrasil 40m O arremessador brasileiro André Rienzo, após excelentes atuações na Triple A, foi chamado para integrar o elenco do Chicago White Sox.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 29, 2013 -> 04:42 PM) Ken Rosenthal@Ken_Rosenthal #Athletics off Peavy, moving onto other pursuits - bullpen, middle IFer. Will dangle some of players they would have traded for Peavy White Sox may be indeed keeping him, but you know, who knows. And Billy Beane counters Hahn's message to interested buyers. -
Joe Sheehan @joe_sheehan If Soriano goes to NYY, #Yankees will have nine players making $15M or more in 2013. Rest of AL has 12. #mlb

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 01:56 PM) Hilarious. It's official that the Sox get nothing back for Crain. A GM can't give up much for an injury-prone older pitcher on the DL. Only the Sox acquire pitchers who are actually on the DL. And that's worked out poorly?

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 02:34 PM) This is like saying you don't draft Michigan wide receivers or USC quarterbacks or you don't trade for Yankees prospects. #1) The last of those trades happened 5 years ago. Durham and Foulke both occurred 10+ years ago. Times have changed. #2) The Sox got Neal Cotts. He was only good for 1 year, but he helped win a World Series. That's all I need I don't get it, so are you saying the Chet Lemon trade of '75 shouldn't factor into Rick Hahn's decision making? -

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 02:29 PM) Just saw Dan Hayes retweet a Boston writer saying that Boston can add payroll but doesn't want to give up future. I read this and I'm thinking to myself, why even bother Boston? Have to give up something to get something especially Peavy and/or Crain. Or this could just be a bluff. The only way we should make a deal with Oakland is if all players we get in return are PTBNL, that's really the only way Billy Beane has surrendered good talent to the Sox over the years. Oakland PTBNL's were key to building the '05 World Series Roster. Cotts was a PTBNL in the Foulke/Koch deal and Miguel Olivo was acquired as a PTBNL in exchange for Chad Bradford. -
Oh, those wacky Astros.

QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 23, 2013 -> 09:48 PM) What makes Wong so much more likely to stick in the pros than Semien? The stats you and hi8is posted were good but not great. Draft pedigree and professional scouting analysis. It's pretty much all I have to go on since I haven't scouted either in person or on tape. Has little to do with statistics, I'm aware of the bloated stat lines of PCL hitters. -

QUOTE (Lemon_44 @ Jul 23, 2013 -> 09:23 PM) I don't understand why the Sox would have any interest in Wong. 2B is the one position where they seem to be okay. Beckham can be moved to SS. But Sanchez is probably more a 2b than SS. Johnson, for now, is a 2b. Then you have Semien and DeMichelle that have upside. I don't see how acquiring Wong is even in the equation, especially if he's the centerpiece of a deal. I like that Hahn is seeking guys that can help next year. Freese and Adams would be a very nice return. Right there is the corner IF's for the next 3-5 years. I don't thnk the Cards will include Freese though. Give me Adams, Martinez, and Anthony Garcia for Peavy. The thought process would be that you don't pass up on the opportunity to acquire Wong who has a decent shot at becoming a first division second baseman (though his ceiling goes no higher than the ground floor of the 1st division) when your system is inundated with players who are serious long shots to ever reach that level. You don't pass up on a very good talent like Wong because of Micah Johnson, if by some miracle one of those guys does pan out, then you adjust accordingly down the line. -
Derrick Rose is a weird dude.

An NBA dunk contest contestant will wear google glass during the competition, soon. It is inevitable.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 6, 2013 -> 08:23 AM) Consider me out on The Show. It's been pretty much the exact same game for 5 years now. It's good, but my God, they need new announcers and to liven up the presentation. Well they did replace Soup Campbell with Steve Lyons, so there's that.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 27, 2013 -> 06:23 PM) Academy Award winner Halle Berry no longer can cite "Catwoman" as the low point of her career. In "Movie 43," she initiates a game of "Truth or Dare" on a blind date — and that leads to Berry making guacamole by mashing avocados with her bare breasts, and inserting a turkey baster filled with extra-hot sauce into herself. And then things get REALLY ugly. My God, do they get ugly. Apparently Hugh Jackman and Academy Award winner Kate Winslet thought they'd be showing off their carefree, comedic sides by playing a blind date scene in which Jackman's character has a realistic-looking scrotum dangling from his chin — which seems to escape the notice of everyone but Winslet. They were all wrong. Very, very, very wrong. From "National Lampoon's Animal House" to "Stripes" to many of the Judd Apatow R-rated comedies to "Ted," I've long been a fan of rude-crude-lewd films — IF they're also smart and we care about the characters and there's a lit bit of an emotional investment in their fates. But I don't see a redeeming molecule in a movie that has Chloe Grace Moretz getting her first period while teenage boys and grown men react like Neanderthals, or Kristen Bell playing Supergirl, who becomes the butt of jokes about her crotch, not to mention the humiliation endured by Faris, Berry and Watts. The men in this movie are jerks, idiots, dolts and fools. The women have it much worse. Ebert review of Movie 43, suntimes.com This review was written by Richard Roeper.

Yep, Kellen Davis was every bit as horrible this year as we believed him to be. PFF TE Drop Rate. Most useless player I've ever seen.
