QUOTE(Capn12 @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 11:25 PM) Got in here late only to see that BMaC sucked, again, and I'm left wondering WHY THE f*** Kevin Walker is in the major leagues....Jeez can't we give ANYONE else a shot here? Walker's gone. Jenks is up. supposidly.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 11:21 PM) Gauranteed. 1-2-3! BOOYA! AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111111

QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 11:21 PM) Any chance that the top of the 9th is easy here? Gauranteed.

QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 11:13 PM) Are all games against Tampa on the 4th of July this crazy? Yes.
-
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 11:07 PM) But seriously are you going to take a sample size of 8 innings, or have a look at the way he's thrown at B-Ham and Charlotte over the last season and a half? Obviously they are looking at those 8 innings pitched as a pretty big deal seeing how Jenks is on his way here.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 11:03 PM) Baj gets guys out. I'm not saying he's gonna be a star in the bullpen, but he can be effective. I dunno, this is the same organization that didn't like how Chad Bradford threw, either... Chad Bradford's arm didn't like the way he threw. I don't think this bothers Baj all that much. I'm sure he's totally pissed that he keeps getting shafted but he's probably just taking it in stride and going out there and getting hitters out. He'll get his shot, he has to.

Joe Crede some how avoids the Golden Sombraro.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 11:01 PM) Jenks up is a very not good idea. Very elliquently put.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 10:59 PM) He's better than Walker. And yeah, he's gotta improve that control, but he's got some sick stuff (as you know) and some sick K numbers (as you also know). I'm not gonna b**** about it, but Baj deserves a shot over Jenks. I hope he's taking this OK, because he's done everything he can do to make it to the majors. It's BS that he wasn't called up in the first place. But he sucked for the 10 innings he pitched in September last year, he's obvioulsy not a major league pitcher. Baj should most definatly be called up before Jenks. I just don't see Bobby being all that affective. He's able to get AA hitters to chase his pitches but major league hitters are another story. I see him walking a s*** load of batters.

QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 10:58 PM) i hate when they sing god bless america during the seventh inning, i like the fact that we are trying to remember our county but its just a waste of time
-
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 10:57 PM) Well, we love guys who can't throw strikes. He's affectively wild.
-
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 10:54 PM) Is that true? I heard Jenks is still a little too raw, but I can't say I'm against the move. It gets rid of Walker. He's not really raw, he's just excessively wild, he's rough mentally and has shaky past.

QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 10:54 PM) i dont see it It's not on Futuresox. It's on the Futuresox forum on Soxtalk.

I'm glad Walker is gone. I don't like the idea of bringing up Jenks.
-
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 10:42 PM) WTF does Baj have to do to get a spot over Walker? BTW - Keith Foulke continues to suck hard tonight. He might get a shot now. Seeing how Walker is no longer going to be on the Sox after today. IMO.
-
QUOTE(quickman @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 10:35 PM) My opinion if they were show casing BMAC tonight the trade is off. BMAC is nowhere near ready for the majors. Give him two years and start over. BMAC is just not ready to pitch in the majors, leaves the balls way up, just like minor leaguers do. You are exactly right. He's a AA pitcher starting on the big club.
-
QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 10:37 PM) Can we please bring up Ross Gload and send down Walker? Wtf is taking so long? Or release Walker seein how he's useless.
-
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 10:25 PM) you are right, you are done. The reason it would be ok to trade him this year, is because its THIS year. This might be the only year, and I for one, dont give a s*** about the future, and our unproven prospects. Because prospects dont win you a WS, your big league players do. I am open to trading anyone in our minors, because I want to win NOW, with THIS team. Where did I say anything about not trading him? I said: I said nothing about not trading him to add to this team. I said the whole idea of dumping him while some team might think he still has some value was a f***ing stupid way of looking at things. You might wanna take context into account next time. That "you are right, you are done." s*** was just stupid to start your post with. You showed a lack of class. Maybe you should read into my post before saying dumb s*** like that.

QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 10:05 PM) gio? honel? When do you expect this to happen. And once again if you say this season or next in Gio's case I'll hit you in the mouth.
-
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 09:59 PM) I clarified that he sucks right now and that it doesn't mean he'll always suck. But it can't be argued, he certainly sucks right now. I'd also trade him, but I would've traded him even before I'd ever seen him pitch. That's because I don't put any stock into prospects because they don't always turn out. Oh f***, Walker is warming. If Ozzie brings him in and he blows it, Ozzie isn't thinking. You can't just say he sucks right now. He shouldn't even be in the big leagues, he's a AA pitcher in the Majors, WTF do you expect from him. You can say he shouldn't be on the team and that he's not ready, just don't say he sucks.
-
I love the way a lot of you have given up on a 21 year old pitcher who pitched last year at AA. Send him down to Birmingham and let him develope properly instead of rushing him along because he was good in spring training. He is our #1 prospect for a reason. He is not a bust (yet). The s*** that has been said tonight about how he sucks and how we should trade him now while some "stupid team might still trade for him" is just pathetic. It's unbelievable how reactionary a lot of you are, it's really f***ing sad. I'm Done.

QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 07:55 PM) damnit, ive done a s*** load of voting just to see him in third place :lolhittingl The results that were posted above were that of an online poll conducted by ESPN.com/thepulse. They are not a reflection of the actual voting for the 32nd man which is being conducted by MLB.com.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 09:04 PM) did that dude ever sign with a team or no? I was looking forward to him. I don't think he did. The guy wanted a lot of money. EDIT:
