Twins fans do the darndest things.....
Kalapse replied to whitesoxfan101's topic in The Diamond Club
QUOTE(Benchwarmerjim @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 10:04 PM) I never understood the whole throwing the ball back thing anyway Its a souvenier! If you dont want it, just give it to a kid who will enjoy it more and for longer than the chuckle you and your friend get for trowing back the ball Hell, Cubs fans are know to have a ball stashed away somewhere and they throw that one back and keep the game ball Look at the list of ads and click on "Throw it back". It's under "Win or Die Trying" and above "Hottie Scottie". http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...radio/index.jsp -

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 09:34 PM) Must be an Aussie channel. Here it's called channel 3. Maybe that's an Iowa thing, here in Illinois we have more advanced technology, when we want to use devices on out TVs we can use channels called Video1, Video2 and in some cases VPORT.

Which AL Pitcher Should Start The All-Star Game?
Kalapse replied to AddisonStSox's topic in The Diamond Club
American League leaders in major pitching categories: ERA: 1. Rogers - 2.46 2. Buehrle - 2.48 3. Halladay - 2.51 4. Colon - 2.99 5. C.Young - 3.16 WHIP: 1. Santana - 0.93 2. Halladay - 0.95 3. Buehrle - 1.03 4. Garland - 1.09 5. Colon - 1.16 OBA: 1. Santana - .241 2. Halladay - .259 3. Buehrle - .267 4. Garland - .285 5. Colon - .291 Wins: 1. Garland - 12 2. Halladay - 11 3. Buehrle - 9 3. Colon - 9 3. Rogers - 9 3. Bonderman - 9 IP: 1. Halladay - 122.0 2. Buehrle - 116.0 3. Santana - 107.0 4. R.Johnson - 103.0 5. Bonderman - 102.2 Ks: 1. Santana - 124 2. R.Johnson - 94 3. Halladay - 91 4. Bonderman - 82 5. Clement - 78 CG: 1. Halladay - 5 2. R.Johnson - 3 3. Buehrle - 2 3. Garland - 2 3. Colon - 2 SHO: 1. Garland - 2 1. Halladay - 2 1. Mussina - 2 4. Buehrle - 1 4. Rogers - 1 4. Santana - 1 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Halladay is easily the starter of the All-Star game as of right now, Buehrle is back to back with him in 6 categories. So it wouldn't be hard for Buehrle to pass Halladay. One bad outing by Halladay and a great outing by Buehrle and suddenly Buehrle passes him. Johan Santana is having a much better season than advertised, his WHIP, OBA and SO numbers are insane. The defense behind him has been s*** which translates to the high ERA and Win numbers. I don't know why people insist on Garland starting it, his numbers are not all that great. He has the most wins (by 1 over Halladay) and his WHIP and OBA numbers are decent (Halladay is far ahead of him in both). Rogers is the same case as Garland but instead of Wins he has ERA going for him. After his miserable start last night his ERA has skyrocketed from 1.98 all the way up to 2.46, which pretty much sqrews him here considering his high OBA and WHIP. Bartolo Colon is having an extremely underrated season. He started slow but has picked it up since. His ERA is under 3 now and his WHIP and OBA numbers are good (though both are a bit lower than Garland's). He now has 9 Wins and should be a candidate. Pecking Order: 1. Halladay 2. Buehrle 3. Garland 4. Colon 5. Rogers ----------------- 6. Santana -

This is a quote of mine from last week. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 11:14 PM) They have seperate polls for all outfield positions LF/CF/RF. For Starting pitchers it is one big poll including all ten starters from the two Chicago teams. So it should finish: Buehrle Garland Garcia Contreras Hernandez Then they have 6 bullpen spots available and a poll including 12 pitchers out of the pen from Chicago. So it should finish: Hermanson Politte Cotts Marte Shingo Vizcaino Then you have a poll for all around bench. Sox Vs. Cubs. Sox will win. And finally a poll for Manager Ozzie Vs. Dusty. Ozzie all the way.

QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 04:32 PM) You don't think Jon should be first..?? Jon should be second behind Buehrle, seeing how IMO Buehrle is having the better season and the overall better career.
-
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) are you speaking of the legend of bloodninja?? Correct.
-
I'm done with Freddy. I'm going to take a short break and then work on either Count or Jon we'll see.

QUOTE(BuehrleTheAce @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 02:50 PM) That should say "fall for a base hit" No it should say "ball four base hit" when someone is up and has a 3-1 or 3-2 count Hawk will say"ball four base hit" meaning either walk or get a hit.

QUOTE(jerseysox @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 02:33 PM) fine, not "ever," but it's damn funny. what is bloodninja? Google it. And prepare to laugh your ass off.

I used to bone my bat all the time, it's perfectly legal and works like a charm. All you do is locate a femur bone from a cow and then rub it up and down your bat. This process fills the poors on the bat thus making it harder, anytime you can make your bat harder you're going to hit the ball with more force. I know what I said sounds extremely dirty. I'm sure most of you children were giggling through the whole damn thing.
-
I had it set to vote for every pitcher. So everyone was getting votes, including Buehrle. I'm gonna get Jon up to around Buehrle now.
-
Who's your pitching staff? -
That is not the funniest thing ever, bloodninja blows that out of the water.
-
OK, I think I'll start flooding with Buehrle some time in the next 5 minutes.
-
I'll take Buehrle and then Hermanson.
