  1. Halladay is pitching tonight verse the Orioles. Buehrle has a lower ERA than Halladay however Doc still has Buehrle in these categories: WHIP IP Ks Wins OBA and less run support
  2. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 05:56 PM) im guessing your thinking the same thing, same thread in around the horn There are currently 4 threads about the same damn subject.
  3. :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead
  4. Adding Juan Pierre to this team would not be an upgrade over what we already have!
  5. QUOTE(Southside hitmen @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 04:58 PM) Dye is more injury prone than Pierre is Not this season.
  6. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 03:47 PM) buehrle should get it, but everyone favors halladay Might I ask why? Everyone favors Halladay because he's having a better season than Buehrle.
  7. QUOTE(Southside hitmen @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 04:51 PM) Would love to trade Dye and have the Sox pick up Pierre He's injury prone, and batting .249 with an OBP of .296. Dye is a much better offensive player than Pierre. I say HELL NO to Juan Pierre.
  8. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 03:35 PM) I'm gonna start flooding, this thing is as good as Dye's. I accounted for 6,893 of Jermaine Dye's votes, not bad.
  9. I'm gonna start flooding, this thing is as good as Dye's.
  10. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 03:32 PM) This is crap, they're two of the best pitchers in baseball, and this guy's gonna make Ozzie choose one? I'm sure that'll go over well. I'm sure the roster is already packed with overpaid Red Sox starters. He didn't ask him to pick one he asked him what he should do. If he should take one, or both. Maybe even asked him who should start.
  11. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 03:12 PM) Aaron has hit his best in the 3rd spot and is our best hitter with runners in scoring position. Big Hurt would bat 4th, but Konerko needs his protection so it all makes sense. This isn't a move that's discipling Thomas, but more like helping Rowand and Konerko. Rowand hits his best in the leadoff spot.
  12. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 02:58 PM) I wonder if Buehrle era is going to be lower then Halladays after the game. After today's game Buehrle's ERA is down to 2.48 compared to Halladay's 3.53. However Halladay is pitching tonight verse the Orioles so before you say anything you have to wait until after Halladay's start. Also Halladay still has the edge on Buehlre in: WHIP IP Ks Wins OBA and less run support
  13. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 03:05 PM) This is the kind of thinking that will bite you in the ass when the strategy totally backfires in a more important game...say, for example, the playoffs and say, for example, against a better team than the AAAA Royals. A better team then the Royals, you meen like the Dodgers, Padres and Indians.
  14. QUOTE(Winnin Ugly @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 02:57 PM) Name me another Sox mgr that has been better than Ozzie Eddie Collins Kid Gleason Gene Lamont Tony LaRussa Clark Griffith Al Lopez Bob Lemon Paul Richards Pants Rowland
  15. You are about to get flamed so bad. :headshake
  16. I've argued on this point far too much over the last couple days. But this is one of the most fun subjects to argue about. I've been a huge perponant of Halladay starting the All-Star game and I'm sticking with it. Stats tell all.
  17. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 02:29 PM) dont flood this one!!! It's too late. Someone already did. The poll is already lopsided.
  18. Roy Halladay is the American League Cy Young Award winner as of today. -Buehrle's stats are going to look damn good after this game, his ERA will probably be around Halladay's but his WHIP and OBA will still be considerably higher. Buehrle is right behind Halladay after today's game. -Garland still has a 3.40 ERA and a .285 OBA, Wins tend to be overrated, Mark over Garland. -For some reason even after looking at Kenny Roger's stats I just can't get exciteded about him, maybe it's his .309 OBA and 1.19 WHIP. I'd put him behind Buehrle. 1. Halladay 2. Buehrle 3A. Rogers 3B. Garland 5. Bartolo Colon
  19. Who's flooding the poll? I thought we were going to let it run until tonight and then flood it.

  21. Holy s***, I already figured out how to flood the poll. This will be easy.
  22. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 09:10 AM) I would be careful with Lidge, he hasn't been as dominating as last year and the number of innings he threw makes me nervous. 2004- 1.90 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, 14.83 K/9 2005- 2.81 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, 13.78 K/9 He is on an absolutely pathetic team which does not bode well for closers. When their team isn't in contention closers tend to suck, closing envolves a lot of adreneline and motivation to get the final 3 outs of a game. When you're team is s***ty it's not as easy to get pumped to pitch, you're not really playing for anything. Lidge will be fine.
  23. Why would we want to give up good prospects such as Anderson, McCarthy, Tracey or Sweeney for a guy like Zito who sucks. It's been a while now since he's been good, hell he sucked last year on a good team and with the other two of the big three in the rotation at the same time.
