QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 08:22 AM) I'd give them Crede, Anderson, and McCarthy for Ensberg and Lidge. The problem with Ensberg is his horrible road splits. He could probably hit at the Cell but you never know seeing how badly he's hit away from the Juice Box the last 3 years.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 08:18 AM) They would definately want Brian Anderson and more. I would much rather give them Sweeney give them Sweeney in place of Anderson, but if Anderson is what it takes to get a guy like Lidge, I'd have to think about it.
-
How awesome would it be to see Kenny go out and get a guy like Brad Lidge. He is unstoppable on a good team and would go a long way to solidifying the bullpen.

Hideo Nomo. I'm serious, Bonds isn't playing this year.

QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 06:53 AM) the sox and cubs have bad blood.....because ITS THE SOX AND THE CUBS!!!! THEY PLAY 7 MILES APART IN THE SAME f***ING CITY. WHAT ABOUT KERRY WOOD DRILLING KONERKO IN THE HEAD? completely worthless article. That really worked out for Kerry Wood, the whole hitting Konerko in the head thing huh. Konerko just went on to hit two homeruns in the game including a 2 run bomb in the 6th to cap off a 6 run inning and to bring the Sox all the way back from an 8-0 deficit. One of the best games ever.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 01:34 AM) petey went 3 innings in beantown. He struck out the first 6 he saw if I remember correctly. Pedro went 2 innings in Boston, struck out the first 5 he saw. No pitcher has thrown more than 2 innings in any given all-star game since 94 in Pittsburgh where Maddux went 3 inninings. I don't think you have to worry about a Sox pitcher going any more than 2 innings seeing how its been 11 years since a pitcher has done it.

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 12:50 AM) don't worry, Sox-r-us... the kings of the webboards just freak out when their little equilibrium is messed up. Don't worry about them. Who the hell are you?

Real smart for that dumbass to post the way he illegally flooded the ballots on an MLB message board.

Just to let you know Mutton sucks, badly. I love meat I could eat a steak every damn day for the rest of my life but mutton is just disgusting.

QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 11:44 PM) Obviously this is somewhere else and I did not bother seeing it ah? It's currently in the Pub but it was in SLAP this morning as well. Third different thread, third different forum. I think it's funny.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 11:41 PM) Haven't seen this before. Three different forums, impressive.

Not to mention the fact that he killed Opera.

QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 11:05 PM) Out of curiousity, the decision is up to Francona, right? Is there something about Halladay that just screams future NYY starter? The problem is Halladay is only 28 years old and is effective. Wait until he's 35 and can't get anyone out then the Yankees will pounce and give him $15 million.
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 11:03 PM) Usually he makes some posts about what his team is doing. He's probably not doing that now because the Twins' offense has disappeared lately. Lew Ford hit a home run today. The little bastard never quits, even when the rest of the team isn't doing s***.

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 10:36 PM) Ever been? It comes highly recommended--Great sandwiches, awesome atmosphere, hot waitresses. Stopped in before tonight's game and I have to say it was a very neat joint--across stjhe sthreset sfrom Rosebud. You've obviously had quite a few tonight. Damn, not to mention Jopon Garlamnd.

If we win tomorrow and the Twins lose we'll have a 10 game lead. That's right double f***ing digits.
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 10:34 PM) Konerko is hitting .250 now. Crede is hitting .249 now. Dye is hitting .269 now. Pods gained 9 points on his BA today, he's up to .289

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 10:26 PM) Let me ask this... Jon Garland has a chance at 15 wins before the AS break. If he's sitting on 13 or 14 wins, and that's 2 or 3 ahead of everyone else in baseball...what else can you look at? He'd be on a pace to win like 27 or 28 games. If Halladay is at 12 or 13 wins at the time like he probably will, you can look at more important stats like ERA and WHIP which Halladay has an advantage in and make your decision off of that.
-
QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 10:24 PM) No, I just looked at the stats excluding record and k's because there overrated Then you would have seen Halladay's lower ERA and lower WHIP. What exactly did you see to make you think Buehrle should start?
-
QUOTE(Tadahito Iguchi @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 10:21 PM) Next year are you going to be able to listen to Sox games on the net? NO, due to league restrictions, WSCR can not stream the broadcast of White Sox games over the internet. MLB wouldn't be making any money off of the stream. If you want to hear the Sox you have to by MLB Radio.
-
You have to look at ERA, WHIP, strength of schedule, run support and team success. Wins and strikeouts are extremely overrated these types of situations. Garland is the favorite right now simply because of his wins and the national attention he is getting. Based on performance thus far Buehrle is a better choice than Garland. Halladay should start the All-Star game as of this moment.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 10:08 PM) Here's something to stir up trouble. Are we actually better with Ozuna starting at SS over Uribe? Uribe's defense is much better of course, so probably not. You answered your own damn question, what the hell is wrong with you?
-
QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 10:08 PM) So even though buehrle has been out performed by halladay this year you think buehrle shoudl start? It's called being a homer and ignoring obvious statistical advantages for a non White Sox player.
