  1. QUOTE(Spod=Ratings @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 10:02 PM) but garland and mark are the pitching the best for the best team in the baseball That sentence makes absolutely no sense. I guess you're saying: "However Buehrle and Garland and pitching the best for the team with the best record in baseball." Halladay has better stats this season and he's doing it on a worse team in a division the "experts" feel is one of the best in baseball. I would love to see Buehrle start the All-Star game but at this point if you're going by stats and actually want to start the most deserving player Halladay gets the nod.
  2. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 10:01 PM) with those stats i think buehrle should start. I also stated that earlier. Buehrle and Garland arnt strikeout pitchers either. Strikeouts are any extremely sexy stat. Everyone loves the K know matter how overrated it might be.
  3. QUOTE(mac9001 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 10:00 PM) Halladay 10-4, 2.53 ERA, 11 QS, 0.95 WHIP Buehrle 8-1, 2.67 ERA, 11 QS, 1.05 WHIP Garland 12-2, 3.40 ERA, 10 QS, 1.09 WHIP and seeing as Halladay also has more IP and Ks i'd say he's more worthy. Ditto. Buehrle and Garland are on a much better team however which will probably push them past Halladay in many peoples minds.
  4. Grienke has hit 9 batters this season.
  5. QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 06:47 PM) Carbon Monoxide comes out of the car tailpipe. There is a big difference between Carbon Dioxide and Carbon Monoxide. I still said Carbon Dioxide, calm down Knighni.
  6. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 07:33 PM) Is he pitching well or are our hitters being morons again and swinging at everything? He's pitching well.
  7. Who's the center fielder on your All-City team? 99.7% Aaron Rowand, White Sox (60388 responses) 0.3% Corey Patterson, Cubs (208 responses) 60596 total responses
  8. I'm gonna start is back up again. See if I can get Arow up to around 60,000.
  9. QUOTE(That funky motion @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 06:25 PM) I dont know who it was on the "Mac,Jurco,Harry show" that said it,but one of them brags about Uribe body around the locker room. He said he cant believe the great shape he is in! Harry is always talking about Uribe's ass.
  10. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 06:17 PM) Juan is good, but Pablo has been much better this year and he is better at starting up our offense than Juan. Hope he gets better, but I am happy to see Pablo starting. Kinda hard to say Ozuna has been much better than Uribe this year seeing how Ozuna only has 53 ABs this season compared to Uribe's 217 isn't it. Ozuna has been a good bench player, a prototypical utility guy but there is now way you can say Ozuna has played better than Uribe this season when he only has 1/4 of the ABs.
  11. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 05:58 PM) ^Irony What's so Ironic?
  12. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 06:06 PM) ...And Politte. Politte can do anything. A true athlete. He is Mr. Baseball.
  13. QUOTE(rangercal @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 06:04 PM) LOL I knew you would hook arow up. I just knew it. He is my second favorite Sox player behind Frank. I had to give him more votes than Pods.
  14. Who's the center fielder on your All-City team? 99.6% Aaron Rowand, White Sox (50001 responses) 0.4% Corey Patterson, Cubs (201 responses) 50202 total responses I'm done for the day. 30,842 votes is quite enough for one day.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 12:47 PM) Fastest ban in the west Not sure why the guy wastes his time spamming here... He should get out of his mom's basement more often. He was able to recruit one guy, not sure if he hit the southsider site or it was here but it appears Dougly is registered at the guys website.
  16. QUOTE(Jake @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 03:14 PM) I want Griffey to get back into the top 3 of outfield voting Even though Miguel Cabrera is more worthy right. People want to see Griffey because he used to be one of the best in the game and is just now showing some of that great offense he had in the 90's. The guy can't play defense anymore and doesn't compare to Cabrera numbers wise. HR: Tie RBI: Griffey by 1 Runs: Cabrera by 9 AVG: Cabrera by 60 points OBP: Cabrera by 44 points OPS: Cabrera by 112 points The All-Star game has become a farce.
  17. Exactly what I was thinking Jim. Really showing your credentials with the feces picture.
  18. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 04:27 PM) I don't know if you've been paying attention, but Everett is probably a better fielder than Pods and Dye. Pods has the speed on him, no doubt, but Everett has been very solid this year. Pods is the worst at picking up the ball off the bat. It seems like Pods gets a bad jump on every damn ball hit into left field. Whenever there's a flyball in his direction hes always dancing around trying to get under the ball, he makes me extremely uneasy when he's out there but it is a neceessity to have him in the field and staying active. Everett looked outstanding in the rightfield against the Dodgers on Saturday. He got to just about every ball out there and showed that he still has some firepower in that arm of his.
  19. I don't see 2642 posts as something to be proud of. Most that number is just fluff, useless posts that are posted for no reason but to raise post counts. I'm not including Knightni in this or even Jabroni but there are a few people on the board lately that have been posting crap.
  20. Who's the center fielder on your All-City team? 99.5% Aaron Rowand, White Sox (37865 responses) 0.5% Corey Patterson, Cubs (182 responses) 38047 total responses I tallied 17,348 votes in a little over an hour.
  21. QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 02:46 PM) I wonder how much he'd cost in a trade? He's been lights out in years past, but he isn't doing so well this year. I wonder who's shown interest for them to even say that he's available? Just say no to Jason Schmidt. He's been so bad this year that I wouldn't want him anywhere near this team.
  22. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 02:37 PM) Could you really?? You would need multiple free email accounts and a s*** load of time.
  23. QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 02:28 PM) I'll see if i can rig it to get Crede the starting third basemen. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 02:32 PM) Dont forget Timo and 1st base This joke is OFFICIALLY over done.
  24. Miguel Cabrera really does deserve to be in there over Beltran. Ramon Hernandez should be the starting catcher. I still feel Barmes should win at SS and then have the backup start the game for him.
  25. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 01:10 PM) Here's a question for you guys... Tino Martinez clearly doesn't deserve to be an All Star, and is only leading the balloting because of the New York fan base and that 1 string he had back a few months ago. If Teixiera does manage to pass him...who do you guys rank as the 2nd best 1b in the AL? I certainly dont' think it's Millar. Francona of course could do the Torre thing and pick half of his team, but I think that if Teixeira does pass Tino, Paulie ends up in the AS Game. I think the obvious choice for 1st base backup is PK. His power numbers are higher than any other 1st baseman other than Teixiera. He has the Highest OBP of any 1st baseman with atleast 161 ABs other than Ibanez and PK has a higher OPS than any other firstbaseman other than Teixiera. PK should be an All-Star this season. Anyone who thinks PK isn't an All-Star just take a look at the stats and then plead your case.
