  1. Type in "Shingo Takatsu no trade clause" in to google and see what the first site that comes up is. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&saf...use&btnG=Search
  2. It is f***ing pooring in Streamwood right now. The storm came from the west and is moving east toward Chicago. It doesn't seem to be to big of a storm so it shouldn't affect the game. I'll be there tonight, Sec 120.
  3. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 01:07 PM) How are we going to find innings for Brower to turn it around if we cant find innings for Shingo to turn it around? Its trading for the sake of trading, and theres no real purpose. Also doesnt Shingo have a no trade clause? Sb Brower was released. He's a free agent, we'd just be signing him, not trading for him.
  4. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 11:41 AM) Since when does Tank play baseball? I was thinking the same thing. Appearantly SS doesn't know where to properly post topics.
  5. QUOTE(TheDybber @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 11:28 AM) I keep hearing Paulie is gonna go. there aren't a lot of 1B in the AL that are tearing it up right now. Morneau is better but been hurt. Maybe Tino, but he's fallen off after that big couple of weeks. And if Paulie keeps hitting well, and gets his average over .250, his power will get him into the ASG. Let's hope he doesn't do the HR derby though. Taco Texaria down in Arlington is a top 3 first baseman in MLB, he should be in it along with his teammate 2nd basemn who has 15 HRs.
  6. Umm. quote of the year - -Torii Hunter
  7. QUOTE(valponick @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 11:16 AM) Explain how Hunter is "good at mind games", is he a Jedi or something? I don't know why I found this so funny but I was just laughing out loud from it.
  8. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 11:20 AM) I thought it was one of your non-green sarcastic posts. So I really didn't know what to say. Nope just a f***up, but we can go back to thinking it was sarcasm.
  9. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 11:11 AM) did you look at those pictures? there is nothing there worth value, nothing. except those pretty glass balls She has like 3,ooo boxes in the house that have never even been open. Who knows what the f*** could be in those boxes.
  10. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 11:10 AM) WHY?!? Because he's fast?
  11. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 11:17 AM) at least your up to date on your expo bat boys Must you rub it in. I don't even know WTF I was thinking.
  12. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 11:01 AM) I seriously doubt that Pods will make the AS Team either. While he's stolen a ton of bases, he's not exactly hitting like .330 or anything. Ichiro still has a better BA than Pods, and he fills the "speedy outfielder" role well enough. Besides, isn't the outfield one place where you usually find plenty of power hitters in the AS Game? I get the feeling that we're going to see some guys who normally play other positions get shunted to left...Let's run down the guaranteed outfield All stars M. Ramirez J. Damon Vlad the Impaler Ichiro Torii Hunter Probably Garret Anderson Well, maybe there's a slot open, but I don't think it'll go to Pods with all the other names to choose from. Sheffield.
  13. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 11:13 AM) http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showuser=1484 s*** I forgot all about him, duh.
  14. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 11:04 AM) Estes oughta get rocked--and I mean rocked--in USCF. If Contreras holds them to 3 runs, we win this game. We are currently batting .312 as a team Vs left handed pitching(1st in MLB) 22 HR Vs them(5th in MLB) batting .273 in night games(6th in MLB) Also Estes has a 4.46 ERA for the season A 4.91 ERA at night though he does throw better on the road 3.94 ERA, it's not by much. This my friends is called a recipe for success.
  15. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 11:06 AM) The Sox will finish the game in double digits in runs scored and hits. Wow, making this prediction reminded me of ol' Poopy Hiladgo. Whatever happened to him? Last I saw he was a bat boy for the Expos but that was like 2 years ago.
  16. Rollins is a really good SS but f***ing $47.5 million. You have got to be s***ting me, he's not that good.
  17. The Upcomming Homestand: 3 Vs Arizona 33-31 (15-15) 3 Vs Los Angeles (Dodgers) 33-29 (14-12) 3 Vs Kansas City 21-41 (10-22) 3 Vs Cubs 33-28 (15-13) Twins Play at the same time: 3 Vs San Francisco 25-36 (10-16) 3 Vs San Diego 36-27 (15-15) 3 Vs Detroit 28-32 (15-16) 3 At Milwaukee 28-34 (16-17) Road Record in Perenthesis accept fo Mil. So when it seems we may have a 12 game stretch where we may be able to get a few more games out ahead or Minnesota they have a stretch at the same time that is just as easy if not easier thatn the Sox'.
  18. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 10:00 AM) Pardon me while I got all philosophical for a second, but I think part of the reason we exsist, is to serve as a learning tool for other Sox fans. Especially when you factor in the age difference between some of the posters, basic questions are to be expected, and if we want to help them along their trip of learning, these are minor inconviences. Also questions like that are harmless. That actually sounded half way intelligent.
  19. QUOTE(Southside hitmen @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 10:08 AM) It will be so cool to have Guillen as one of the coaches and I think the team should have at least 5 allstars.. my all stars would be Pods Iguchi Buehrle Garland Hermanson You WILL NOT be seeing Iguchi in the All-Star game, I garuentee it. They will not carry 3 second baseman. Soriano and Roberts have much better numbers than Iguchi, especially Roberts who will no doubt start the game barring an injury. The same thing goes for Pods there are many more players with betters overall numbers than Pods.
  20. QUOTE(mwolfson @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 10:14 AM) Ah, good explaination guys... Thanks for the help. I suppose if the Sox are to call some guys up for the home stretch guys such as Brandon McCarthy, Jeff Bajenaru and Brian Anderson would be some of the first guys mentioned and then maybe Sean Tracey or Bobby Jenks also to add some more pitching. You won't see Sean Tracey this year however with recent rumors you may be seeing Bobby Jenks in the Bigs even though I don't think he's ready.
  21. QUOTE(mreye @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 08:04 AM) Thank you. Then why did you feel the need to post in here to tell us that? Because he's the original Soxtalk thread killer, duh.
  22. I've always loved Mike Brown because of the way he plays the game. f***ing hard nose and hard hitting. He's always given it his all and has been a huge leader on the Bears since he was drafted out of Nebraska. I was devastated when he was knocked out for the year last season in Green Bay. This just adds to my respect for the man, not giving into Cubdumb seeing how he's been in Chicago for 5 years.
  23. Adkin's ERA is at 6.36 with 23 BBs, 48 SOs and 8 in 63.2 IP. :puke Walker's ERA si at 6.06 with 11BBs, 21 SOs and 5 HRs in 15.1 IP. :puke No question Baj deserves the knod. I think these stats prove just how dominate he has been in an extreme hitters park, considering how he's only given up 2 HRs in 31.1 IP.
  24. Baj's ERA is at 1.15 with 15 BBs and 35 SOs in 31.1 IP in the bandbox known as Knight's Stadium.
