Ya, I'm just f***ing around being an ass since everyones going all haywire.
I didn't think they'd want Valido.
And I know they don't want to trade BMAC.
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 20, 2005 -> 06:52 PM)
Bmac was possibly traded along with Joe Crede and Robert Valido for Eric Chavez or at least thats the talk out of Charlotte
You're s***ting me right.
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 20, 2005 -> 06:41 PM)
It is?
No mention on the radio, WSI, or whitesox.com.
Typical, Soxtalk gets all the breaking news. We do our own investigative reporting.
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 20, 2005 -> 06:24 PM)
What?!
Arnie Munoz started the game tonight for Charlotte, BMAC was supposed to pitch. The were other rumors and this just solidifies it. It looks like El Duque is out for sunday and BMAC is in.
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 20, 2005 -> 05:50 PM)
This thread is not as gay as you think it is... And normally I wouldn't be defending this, but Bruce Levine just said there are rumors floating around that McCarthy may be up for Sunday's game.... TIFWIW
That could turn out bad. A huge crowd in a big game in an opposing ballpark for your major league debut, if he got roughed up he could implode. I don't care how strong he is mentally.
Besides Bruce said that other people were talking about it, he hasn't even heard the rumor.

/hits record on VCR
If I recall his HR, which I haven't seen in 4 years, Lee hits Duncan's 3-2 pitch off his shoes and golfs it out of Comiskey. Great moment in this intercity rivalry.
0-1 fastball in at the thighs.
Goosbumps.
I'd say Neil Cotts is currently our long reliever, and frankly I like it that way.
Can we please quit this push to bring up our young minor leaguers for no reason. It seems like everyday there's another thread demanding that we bring up Brian Anderson or Brandon McCarthy. Neither of them needs to be rushed along especially BMAC, just let them get their experience at Charlotte and enjoy the 30 and 12 record. It would be useless using BMAC as our Long Reliever and it would be dumb to bring up Brian Anderson to sit on the bench.

Anyone know if Bremnly is coming back tomorrow. I hope not. It was refreshing to watch a game and not hear a lot of Pro-Cubs stuff all day. It was good to hear all of Dan Pleasac's comments about our team instead of years past of "Cubs This....Cubs that, which was crammed down us for 3 hours straight!!!
Tomorrow the game is on FOX so it shouldn't be a problem. I don't know why the hell you were even watching CSN. Turn on WGN and get the Hawkaroo.
I was wondering if you guys were going to post the names of the people that you do have. Or contact those people in order to notify them that you have successfully recieved their name.
QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ May 19, 2005 -> 03:55 PM)
Why do soxtalk members continue to insist that Rownad is better defensively than Patterson? Sometimes I wonder if members here watch other teams play at all. Rowan is solid in Center but Patterson is an extremely good Centerfielder and I hate him so this hurts to say. Offensively, neither have been very good so Patterson gets by on a better rep for talent I guess. Hard to argue at all with the paper's selections.
Rowand's offensive numbers for this season are much more impressive than Patterson's just look at my previous post in this thread.
QUOTE(BobDylan @ May 19, 2005 -> 03:13 PM)
You're right that it's not a big deal, but the fact is even despite a slow start from Rowand he's putting up equal or better numbers than Corey Patterson. That writer should have taken EVERYTHING into account and not just a slow start. A .294 OBP for a lead off hitter is a start.
Rowand is having a much better season than Patterson other than HRs. Patterson just gets hella more press because of how over hyped he was when he was in the minors. Rowand quietly made his way up to the majors and has become a very good player, where as Patterson still hasn't come close to living up to the hype.
128,199,300 Japanese people X 25 votes each = 3,204,982,500
So Iguchi should end up with atleast 3.2 billion votes assuming that every single person in Japan is an Iguchi fan and gets on the computer and votes 25 times.
