To bad he's only a White Sox in the twisted mind of Joe Morgan. It would be real nice having his bat in our lineup.

And for Tampa Bay: 1. A Sanchez, DH 2. J Lugo, SS 3. C Crawford, LF 4. A Huff, 1B 5. D Hollins, C 6. N Green, 2B 7. C Singleton, RF 8. T Hall, C 9. J Cantu, 3B

QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 10, 2005 -> 03:35 PM) Backing a young player who hasnt lived up to his potential is one thing, thinking that an aging veteran will bounce back to his year 2000 potential is another. As far as playing both sides of the ball, I believe he leads the team in errors. Uribe has 6 errors and Dye has 4 so he's not leading the team.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 10, 2005 -> 03:38 PM) Since we lost to the D-Rays, we should all know that our season is over. Pack it in, guys. We suck. EDIT: I can't get this green font to work...I suck with computers. Anyway, that was sarcasm. [COLOR=green]Since we lost to the D-Rays, we should all know that our season is over. Pack it in, guys. McQuarters possibly on the way out

R dub is useless for the Bears. We kept him around for punt return purposes and that is no longer necessary now that we have drafted a punt returner in Bradley. -
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 10, 2005 -> 01:55 PM) While yesterdays loss was very dissapointing especially hitting wise, I tried not getting 2 angry I mean we are 24-8 cant really be that dissapointed. But that said Dye is pissing me off more and more, although he had a good series in toronto and Konerko is almost worthless with the exception of that 1 game in toronto. If Konerko keeps struggling I think we might need a new lineup change something among these lines. Podsenick Iguchi Rowand Everett Uribe Pieryznski Konerko Dye Crede Konerko will not be moved especially to the 7th hole. Also that is the slowest bottom of the order in Baseball from 6 to 9 there is absolutely no speed.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ May 9, 2005 -> 06:03 PM) His career high is 5 and he also would end up being caught 10 times at this pace which would be right on pace with his career numbers. Anyone is a threat to steal a base once in a while but you don't have to worry about Huff running a whole lot. I'm actually being sarcastic here. I don't think anyone really considers Huff to be a true threat to swipe bags. -

QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ May 9, 2005 -> 05:56 PM) Huff is not a threat to steal bases. So far this season he is. He's currently on pace for 15 SB's. -

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 9, 2005 -> 05:37 PM) It'll be nice to see Chris on the field again. Outside of this series I really wish him well, he was one of my favorite players when he played for the sox. Plus he helped us get the great Willie Harris. -

QUOTE(doUrememberwhen @ May 9, 2005 -> 10:43 AM) I'm all for trading for a Pittsburgh reliever, but the men I wan't is Mike Gonzalez. Mike Gonzalez is one of my favorite pitchers in baseball. This lefty can crank the heat into the mid-90s and adds a tough slider. He's tough against both left-handed and right-handed hitters. He will be an elite set-up man some time down the road if not already. His '04 numbers were ridiculous. He was off to a fast start in '05 by not allowing a run his first 5 IP but allowed 4 ER on 4 hits in two outings in the beginning of April. Since April 13th he has gone 7.2 innings without allowing a run and only giving up 3 hits while striking out 7 and walking 3. QUOTE(The Critic @ May 9, 2005 -> 10:05 AM) I'd agree with this. It would be a real luxury to deal for another closer, but I'd actually prefer a veteran long-relief/setup guy. Latroy Hawkins?

QUOTE(The Critic @ May 8, 2005 -> 11:23 PM) MLB is starting their own investigation in conjunction with the IRS investigation. I heard Pedro Gomez saying on ESPN yesterday that Major League Baseball will not be conducting their own investigation, instead they would monitor the continuing probe by the IRS into Barry Bonds.

QUOTE(soxhawks @ May 8, 2005 -> 08:24 PM) this is just typical mlb, turning on a guy who was the biggest attraction for the league the last three years, why don't they go after mcguire too The MLB isn't even investigating Bonds the IRS is.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ May 8, 2005 -> 10:14 PM) That'll be cool to hear Robin do some talking. He's normally a funny guy. That's the main problem with Robin. He usually does no talking.

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ May 8, 2005 -> 08:16 PM) He's one of the worst that I've ever heard. I'd honestly rather have Ron Santo or Joe Carter. Nothing personal, of course. Ron Santo is hillarious when the Cubs are sucking and Joe Carter was always a riot cuz you never knew what jackass comment you was gonna make during the game. My personal favorite: "Delino Deshields has gone shaveless!" - Joe Carter in response to seeing Deshields' freshly shaved head
