  1. I now have 30 of the top 100 prospects in AA, AAA and Ricky Weeks in the Majors
  2. QUOTE(knightni @ Feb 26, 2005 -> 09:38 AM) I PREDICT: If the Bears draft Edwards or Williams, that neither will be playing with Terrell this season. Bye bye Terrell (thanks in part to the signing of Muhammed!) Ya I think it is now a forgone conclusion that Terrell will be cut lose, there is really no reason for keeping him around now that we have a real wide reciever and Terrell sucks ass.
  3. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 26, 2005 -> 09:24 AM) Wow that is a huge signing for the Bears, it looked like all signs pointed to him joining Donovan and TO in Philly. And to answer Kalapse's question, it could very well be that they are going to take Benson or Williams at #4 now. I don't know if they think Thomas Jones can be the guy long - term. I figured now that the Bears have signed a #1 WR they'll set thier sights on a RB in the draft or maybe even a defensive player since the only half way decent OLman is Barron and he's nothing special. I'm thinking the bears will now probably take a look at Ronnie Brown, Cadillac Williams or if he drops Cedric Benson. Also you have Pac-man Jones, Derrick Johnson and Antrel Rolle who are possiblities on the defensive side of the ball.
  4. It is extremely irresponsible and ignorant to say Braylon Edwards and David Terrell are the same player just because they went to the same college. They show no similarities to each other other than Michigan, the #1 and they're both pretty tall recievers. David Terrell is a jackass who has no idea how to play wide reciever, he drops passes, runs bad routes, trys to run before he catches the ball, is horrible with yards after the catch because he tends to gravitate toward defenders and he's just an overall asshole. Braylon Edwards on the other hand is a modle citizen who actually trys in practice, has more speed than David Terrell, way better hands (though he does tend to drop his share at times), runs great routes, has an amazing demeaner and his specialty is what he can do when he has the ball in his hands he gets big yards after the catch. Don't just shoot down Braylon Edwards because he went to the same school as some other s***ty wide reciever watch him play and see just how different they really are.
  5. Does this mean no Mike Williams or Braylon Edwards with the #4 pick?

    Waving flags

Those flags are hella stupid. Anyone who has one is probably just desperate for attention.
  7. QUOTE(marsh @ Feb 25, 2005 -> 01:58 PM) i thought i just heard boers and bernstien say that canseco's media appearances in chicago have all been indefinitly postponed because of death threats. he was supposed to be in studio with them on monday. If that's true then how is Mancow gonna have Canseco on as his co-host on Monday if he's not even comming to Chicago. I was looking forward to that.
  8. It looks like now Temple will fire him. He's been suspended for the rest of the season and I think Temple will go along with the National consenses and can his ass
  9. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Feb 25, 2005 -> 01:41 PM) Same as last year, if a pitch is in the hot spot(at stomach or higher) press up and any direction you want to hit it at and it will be a fly ball. I actually have no problems hitting HR's. I have a harder time hitting singles. I always get extra base hits. I can pretty much hit a single on command but I just have no HR stroke, if I get a ball up I usually hit up on the right analog stick but end up flying out.
  10. QUOTE(qwerty @ Feb 24, 2005 -> 09:41 PM) ;-) is a winking smiley. I'm aware.
  11. I still haven't hit a f***ing HR yet. I'm getting 14 or 15 hits a game but they're all singles. Does anyone have any tips on how to hit better?
  12. QUOTE(Brian @ Feb 25, 2005 -> 12:56 PM) Anyone else do the mini batting game? I don't want to start a dynasty until the new rosters are ready, so I have been addicted to this. Got to round 9. I love the untimed pitching mini game, that s*** is addictive.
  13. Does anyone know Brooks Boyer's email address. I'd like to ask him a few questions for a research paper. I'd appreciate any help with this.
  14. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Feb 24, 2005 -> 06:20 PM) You've got to use the PM feature to recruit members for your "new and improved" board you know. ?
  15. I can't f***ing hit. I doubt I hit one home run the whole damn year.
  16. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 24, 2005 -> 03:44 PM) I agree with you, tagging is still an issue. I havent had any MAJOR problems with it, but I have seen what your talking about. This minors stuff is tedious. Im trying to do that list that was posted, it takes a while....... You should get a keyboard, it only took me about 45 minutes to do all 100 with my keyboard.
  17. QUOTE(qwerty @ Feb 24, 2005 -> 03:37 PM) Um, didn't ainge just talk s*** about walker a year or two ago? Right after he traded him away. Ya, Ainge riped Walker for being selfish, taking to many shots and not being a team player. How the f*** do you trade for a guy that you talked about like that.
  18. QUOTE(qwerty @ Feb 24, 2005 -> 03:35 PM) Mashburn= dead. Rogers is the key player in that deal. If mashburn was healthy they would never do this. He is easily top three small foward in the nba. Oh ya when Mashburn is healthy he can do anything on the court. He can put up 20, 6 and 2 plus shoot 38% from three.
  19. I just checked the contract status of Robinson and Mashburn and I now know that I am absolutely wrong. Robinson's contract is up after this year and Mashburn has two more years after this year.
  20. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Feb 24, 2005 -> 03:28 PM) Taken from Yahoo: Due to continuous problems with his right knee, Mashburn has spent the entire 2004-05 campaign on the injured list. He is making $9.3 million this year and is slated to earn $10.1 million next season. Reportedly, because of patella femoral irritation, the knee still swells badly after any strenuous activity. There is a chance Mashburn may never play again. Ya but when does Mashburn's contract expire? That may be why they picked him up. Get rid of Glen Robinson and his giant contract and pick up $9.3 mil in expiring money. Also they got the 49 year old Rodney Rodgers in the deal, no really gonna help much but could be a factor off the bench.
  21. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Feb 24, 2005 -> 03:16 PM) So who's the winners in all of these... I have to admit, I'm pretty stupid when it comes to the NBA. I liked Philly's move last night, but what does this next one do? WTF? is up with Isiah? How smart is the San Anton GM? whoever that is? Ainge=Kenny Williams? How many more times does Van Horne get traded on his career? I really like the 76er's and what they've done the pase two days. Picking up a low post player that was desperately needed in Chris Webber, Picked up Jamal Mashburn solid and addition by subtraction by dumping Big Dog.
  22. QUOTE(qwerty @ Feb 24, 2005 -> 01:08 AM) He is retired. ;-) He's supposidly retired. Yet he was last active yesterday at 2:44. We'll see how long he can stay away. So far Minny and MOS are both supposedly gone for extended periods of time but we'll see.
  23. This thread is full of great pictures for sigs and ava's.
  24. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Feb 24, 2005 -> 02:09 PM) I take it Honel wouldn't be in this one right? He was injuried most of last season?? No Honel.
  25. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Feb 24, 2005 -> 12:01 PM) Thanks, I'll be applying that. And also, I like putting a medium setting instead of high setting for the owner mode so it's like I'm try to build up all the way. It's much harder, but that's how in real life it works. Unless you're Brian Cashman.
