  1. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...0,5029017.story I disagree not making the playoffs is not successful IMO and too have the Captain say it makes it worse!
  2. Saw this on another board If true JR really is being greedy. New city tax is only on parking in the "Central Business District" which I believe is bounded by North Ave., Halsted, Roosevelt Rd., and the lake. However far south it goes, Bridgeport is definitely not in those boundaries
  3. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Feb 27, 2012 -> 01:16 PM) Oduya to the Hawks for a 2nd and 3rd in 2013. That is a terrible deal Stan got fleeced! 2nd and a 3rd wow for Oduya had two goals and 11 assists in 63 games with the Jets. The blueliner averages 19 minutes, 19 seconds per game and is a minus-9. Minus-9 that is going to help not a 3rd round pick would be it at best! Rotoworld take The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired Johnny Oduya from the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for a 2013 second round and a 2013 third round pick. Oduya has 13 points and 33 penalty minutes in 63 games this season. That's a nice return for the Jets, who could afford to trade Oduya after claiming Grant Clitsome off of waivers.
  4. QUOTE (The Critic @ Feb 25, 2012 -> 10:20 PM) Rarely has someone skated so much and so quickly to accomplish so little. I really wish he was skating quickly and pointlessly in Rockford right now. He is horrid!
  5. $25 on weekdays, $23 on weekends http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/cws/ballpa...tent=tailgating JR beyond greedy IMO!
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 10, 2012 -> 08:53 AM) http://www.csnchicago.com/blog/whitesox-ta...mp;feedID=10338 Jared Mitchell ship I am afraid has sailed! I never liked the pick even before he got hurt.
  7. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 21, 2012 -> 10:32 AM) Paul Sullivan @PWSullivan Cubs send Chris Carpenter to Red Sox for compensation, according to Cubs source. Boston got nothing for this too drag on as long as it did!
  8. HHH/Taker 3 .............Yawn . I am so sick of HHH ruining the show every week 17 minute segment tonight. He killed the CM Punk storyline by booking himself over WTF. I loathe NIPPLE H
  9. Time will tell it was not a sexy offseason as far as free agent signings go. The farm system needed to be addressed and KW did what he thought was best.
  10. One thing for sure as far as the money goes the Sox won’t get fuked on this one.
  11. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 11:43 AM) Interesting. Pretty good value, depth move. But I can't really get excited since it is highly likely that this will be a pretty poor season. I really hope Dunn, Rios, and Beckham kick some ass early in the season (along with our other guys playing consistent with there historical production) and than maybe I could get a little excited. Who am I kidding, even than we'd need Sale and others to be above average from the get-go too. As a guy who is usually an optimist, I just can't be very optimistic about this team. Agree I cannot see this team winning more than 72 games tops.
  12. LH hitter on the bench late in games not much more.
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Feb 13, 2012 -> 10:26 PM) Soler, according to one report, will be making $27.5 million with the Cubs for three or four years. He may have been courted by Cubs ownership and front-office officials while they were visiting their new Dominican academy earlier this month. That's just an incredible amount for a player who's arguably going to be starting 2012 in High A and is at least 2 years away from the majors, from all scouting reports. If the Cubs want too throw money away like that so be it. Glad I am a Sox fan!
  14. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Feb 13, 2012 -> 08:54 PM) Van Dyck is making it sound like the Cubs have Soler all wrapped up and ready to sign when he's granted free agency. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...0,5338208.story He has been all things Cubs since Theo arrived!
  15. Sounds like Sox and Marlins did not like him as much as reported or he would of have a higher bid.
  16. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Feb 12, 2012 -> 10:06 PM) Honeymoon is over in Hawkville... God forbid they address fixing that awful defense..which in turns exposes the mediocre goal tending... Repeat of last year nothing really addressed same problems over and over.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 11, 2012 -> 07:10 PM) AP reporting Whitney Houston, 48. Seems like she has been dead years already with all her drug problems.
  18. HHH/Taker 3.................... . No interest at all is seeing this again!
  19. QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 11, 2012 -> 04:12 PM) Even more, it's state income tax free. He is FLA bound!
  20. QUOTE (klaus kinski @ Feb 10, 2012 -> 07:56 AM) Another signing you'd expect from Kansas City. No wonder interest is at lows I have never experienced. He is cheap signing that is for sure.
  21. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 9, 2012 -> 09:18 PM) 40 free throws to 15. 24 of those in the second half. Even with the different style of plays. Tough to win on the road with those numbers. Total BS by refs all night 42-15 free throws. I got no problem seeing Illini lose, but give them at least a fighting chance.
