  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 10:51 PM) Karma for the Guillen family. Good he had no business getting drafted that early last year. How do you feel now OG nobody else wanted your no talent hack kid earlier than last year.
  2. Yahoo Sports on Walker The Pick: Keenyn Walker, OF. The Buzz: If there was a more ho-hum day for any prospect, it was Walker, who has been drafted each of the last three years now. His stock has improved each time from the mid-30s, to mid-teens, and now into the sandwich picks. The Sox like his potential to be a top of the order hitter, but he has been slow to develop his batter's eye. The ceiling is fairly low for this pick and does not excite very much.
  3. Back to back quality wins. Humber continues to impress me. Let's get the
  4. QUOTE (soxsider11 @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 09:11 PM) Don't the yanks have another highend catching prospect? Yes Gary Sanchez ranked 25 best prospect in baseball. Statistically speaking: He didn't have enough at-bats to qualify, but if he had, Sanchez's .353 average in the Gulf Coast League would have been good for second in the league. He would have placed third in OBP (.419) and led the GCL with his .597 SLG.
  5. QUOTE (kapzk @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 09:05 PM) How about sending Rios with Humber to the Yanks? Now that would be something. I keep Humber.................Jackson to Yankees fine by me.
  6. QUOTE (kapzk @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 08:57 PM) So what will the Sox want in return inorder to move him? Humber will stay he is cheap and under Sox control.
  7. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 08:00 PM) now close your eyes and imagine if Rios was hitting .280 and Dunn was playing like Dunn. Exactly.
  8. Pineda last night ...................now King Felix maybe this team has turned the corner. I got both starter's on my fantasy team and love the Sox beating them both.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 09:59 AM) When did you see him play? I do not have to see him play to see the 92nd ranked guy picked 47th is a reach pick.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 09:47 AM) Devon White was a great defensive CF in his day. I compare Walker to Betty White.

  12. QUOTE (scenario @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 10:39 PM) And his initials are KW That hurts alot..........Ouch.
  13. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 10:15 PM) Has anyone ever confirmed his anti-sox bias? I am curious about this story, if one indeed exists. He NEVER has 1 good thing to say about the Sox EVER.
  14. QUOTE (bighurt4life @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 10:03 PM) We could have gotten Cole at 47 at this board would flame him and our front office. Sox deserve 100% of all the flaming they get on draft issues!
  15. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 09:59 PM) The Sox could have gotten Gerrit Cole at 47th and Law would find a fault in the pick. You are correct sir!
  16. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 09:55 PM) Based on Sickels' review, I don't think he would have lasted til our second-round pick. I actually like this kid's tools, but our track record with raw, toolsy outfielders makes you think he will be more bust than boom. Sox have developed so many OF prospects...............Reed, Anderson, Sweeney, KW jr etc ............I dislike this selection.
  17. QUOTE (OilCan @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 09:53 PM) Well there you go. KW and his Stanford football athletic mentally wins over pure baseball logic. MOMMY MAKE IT STOP. No wonder we are rated so low in minor ratings.
  18. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 09:51 PM) From Sickels. He nailed it.
  19. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 09:43 PM) Got BA's 92nd rated player at 47. That's White Sox value. The scouting dept strikes again this is overreach #2000 for Sox!
