Jon Garland gave up six runs -- five earned -- in seven innings Friday in a loss to the Red Sox. Jose Contreras isn't the worst starter on the White Sox right now. Garland fell to 0-3 with a 9.51 ERA during August. He's at 7.63 since the start of July.
