Jorge Soler was ejected from High-A Daytona's game versus Clearwater Wednesday after going after an opponent in the dugout with a bat.
Yikes. Soler was stepped on as second baseman Carlos Alonso turned a double play in the seventh inning and the two started exchanging words, which led to the benches clearing. Players eventually returned to their dugouts, but it was after that when Soler grabbed a bat an stormed toward the opposing dugout. He didn't hit anyone, but a suspension is surely forthcoming. The incident will also no doubt lead to character concerns about the talented Cuban import.
