The fact that they have to have a project "Birmingham" because they need to have all of their best instructors in one spot says enough about the development of this organization. The Twins, Dodgers, Rays, etc. don't have to send all of their top prospects to one place to learn to play baseball because they have a way, a singular voice on how to play that brand of baseball. We don't teach s%*#. They come up not knowing how the game is played.

Not that it would matter but my lord Pollack, who taught you to field a ground ball in the outfield and make a throw. Most OF are taught to line it up and drive your momentum through the ball. You did some sort of fast foot sidestep of the ball and had zero momentum. You can do a prep step and drive through the ball.

He is 78 years old with a pacemaker. This is not a guy who was out playing tennis or running marathons. He is 78. He is too old to be a manager at the MLB level. The grind and the requirements with travel and hours are beyond that of a person his age without a pacemaker more or less with one.
