  1. Well this Chuck Pagano defense isnt as good as previous bears defenses.
  2. Pinero doesnt have a job when he gets healthy.
  3. That play makes sense at the end of a drive trying to get proper placement for the kicker. Not at the beginning of it when you are fighting the clock.
  4. They keep defaulting to the story of how great the bears defense this year. They give up a lot of sloppy loose plays to be considered great.
  5. The constant throwing while backpeddling isnt that great when you have the physical tools of Jay Cutler. This version of Foles doesnt have the arm to pull that off at all.
  6. Watching our QB play leaves me with the question of why does our GM have a job still.
  7. We hired TLR. I dont want associated stuff that isnt the top 1 or 2 free agents. No more trying to get a guy on the last legs of his career or a buy low candidate. Lets get a top of the line free agent here.
  8. With the hire of TLR no stop gaps. You are either swinging for the fence or not
  9. I worked at a mid sized company. The owner on his own decided to hire his one and only son and make him a VP. The son was 45. We were told he was brilliant and was an amazing hire. 6 months later the person who was in charge of that group got into a disagreement with the son and that person who was a C level exec was walked out that day. The following week it was announced that the son had taken over as the new C level exec for that group. No one screamed, no one fought it. Everyone just quietly went about their lives. Everyone hated the move. Within 6 months 80% of that group had left the company. These nepotism hires no matter who it is or what level never work out the way you think. Why have GMs if the owner is going to meddle in the business of their job responsibilities. What world class company has the CEO dropping down to make managerial decisions or even VP decisions on who they hire. Companies that do that are like the one I used to work at. They eventually fail.
  10. So this brings me to the next question. Ventura was convinced to become to new Manager before. Who wanted that. Was that Kenny or did JR have a soft spot for a former player. I am wondering what level of power does Hahn really have.
  11. No but typically the owners dont get involved in hiring managers by calling up retired friends and say he bud lets go. Maybe we can have the entire Dallas Cowboys style here and just have JR become Owner/GM because obviously that makes sense.
  12. Well it depends. Does he mean open up the checkbook. Or does he mean, my deferred dollars are better than the slightly lower guaranteed dollars of the other teams.
  13. He just hired his BFF to manage the team. What about that says he might sell the team.
  14. He isnt selling the team. Just be happy that he isnt immortal.
  15. Yeah losing machado wasn't the hurt. It was the fact that they didn't understand that guaranteed money > would be team owned options at the end of the career. They really thought their offer was better. Thats the problem. Its not they make the wrong decisions, its the reasoning behind it which tells us that nothing will change.
  16. Bochy would of been a better choice. At least he has a shot of being viable through the entire run. But JR got his way. And in reality, was it their wishlist or the owners. This is such an odd thing. This is twice where the Whitesox had to convince someone to apply for the job. Who else does this.
  17. TLR`s first reaction was the reach out to his ride or die partner Dave Duncan. That should tell you enough about what's about to happen for the coaching staff search.
  18. And signing a free agent costs money. All this cost is prospects. At this point, JR has made his choice. He wont part with money, but everything else be damned.
  19. Well the whole co-manager thing worked well at Dunder-Miflen. Sign me up for the real life version.
  20. He tried getting Duncan aboard. Duncan declined due to health issues. Otherwise he would your next pitching coach.
  21. Well I am glad to hear it. We just hired Jimmy's grand father as the CEO of your new company. He was friends with the owner. Now back ten years ago he was a great leader. I think he can be just as effective. Now a few things. He has spoken up against any of the people of color protesting or acting as part of any social justice. He says he wont discriminate against them however, he just was on TV saying that he is absolutely against it and people should be fired who do such things. At a previous company a Mr Gant had filed a complaint against him. Now even though you have this up and coming state of the art analytics department that other competitors have used to get ahead of the business. He just demoted the VP of it and said he will use it for information but will use his gut to make business decisions. Business is about the gut and not about computers. He is currently in contact with several of his former buddies to bring them out of retirement to run the company.
  22. Richard Dotson for pitching coach. Ron Kittle for 3rd base coach McEwing for Bench Coach And Molina for catcher
  23. The presser tells me he has declined quite a bit since the last time he was in the spot light.
